I use Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Pro IEMs. Which model would be an upgrade from them? There are too many choices on the website, and very little explanation on the differences between models. I am eyeballing the Savant, I read some reviews praising the neutral and detailed midrange. I am mostly listening to jazz and classical music. I like the Triple.fi's but find their bass a bit muddy. I'd like to jump to the next level. My source would be mostly an iPhone.

The very first model I tried when I still used my TF10 was the 4. Instantly felt it was a big upgrade over the TF10. To this date, I have yet to try the 3 since its suppose to be a V shape just like the TF10. So, anything over the 3 is an upgrade IMHO. If you can hold off until Mar, come to CanJam, audition for yourself.

The 4 leans toward "reference" (slight bass response)

The Savant still in "reference arena" but a bigger bass response than the 4.

and as Watagump said.... if you are in the search for a reference/balanced/neutral type sound....   avoid the 3

Just wondering - was there a practical reasons to switch to Aluminum for the K10s?

A one word response

TIME

If you follow Noble at all, you will see that the K10 U, is always out of stock.  The K10 UA is a more efficient product to build, and we hope that we will be able to better keep up with demand with the aluminum shell.

Just read that there is a black friday discount. I have a few questions.

How much worse is the Universal edition relative to the custom?
How big is the universal edition? If it's JH Layla big than I'm not interested.
How does K10 compare to the Shure SE846 and Sennheiser HD800?

I can feel that free BTS slipping away...

Doubt it, no one's buying till the prices are sorted

Hmm the K10u's have their discount applied in the Paypal cart, but not Wizard design K10's?

Brannan assured me this discount did apply to Wizard designs so it looks like it might just be a website error?
