Listening for the first time with my K-10s from my MACbook, to YES on youtube......straight out no EQ or Audirvana, into a 3.5 adaptor into my balanced cables......unbelievable! I have never, to my loss, heard Chris Squire sound so brilliant!

And I'm in London and going to listen to all the Brit groups, ELP, King Crimson, Jethro Tull..etc!

I'm mentioning this because I posted about how good a bass he is was and did not know it till I listened with my K-10s.

RIP Chris Squire bass player extraordinaire...passed today from leukemia, age 67. Big player big loss.

He was diagnosed 30 days ago......goes to show live everyday to the fullest and do not sweat the small things.

I'm sure it's super convenient, buuut ... apropos the BTS sound quality, forget about whether its lossless or not ... you do realise that you would be listening a dac/amp that costs LESS than $99 ... not what I would have thought was a good match for a premium (C)IEM .. ??

actually more around 50$ as the cable doesn't mystically descend from heaven above.  The BTS is about freedom and convenience it wasn't focussed around provideing Hugo like sound quality.....   how could it at 50$, if it could CHORD would have a lot of explaining to do.

If the source has a good BT section, and isn't shrouded around metal/aluminum the results have been positive.

A little Monday morning joke.

A blonde is overweight so her doctor puts her on a diet. "I want you to eat regularly for two days, then skip a day and repeat for two weeks and you'll lose at least five pounds." When the blonde returns, she's lost nearly 20 pounds. The doctor exclaims, "That's amazing! Did you follow my diet?" The blonde nods. "I thought I was going to drop dead every third day from all the skipping!"

not a good match at all especially when it doesn't work as billed on some systems.  anyone in the market for a BTS I give you good price, lots of love, long time. i'd recommend updating the product page to indicate the aptX feature does not work for a Mac.

Edited:  For the sake of not being a total prick, I'm downloading Xcode.  I've got Bluetooth Explorer on its own and it runs, but it doesn't seem to give me any options to do anything, at least not like what i've seen in google results.  It just sits there in my dock running.  Maybe xcode will open up functionality.  Once I get it installed, I'll try some more stuff.

The BTS sounds fine with SBC, at least in my opinion.  If I can get aptx going, maybe it will boost quality a bit.  I'm skeptical that it will get much better over bluetooth, but I'd also like to solve the issue.

Shouldn't need to download Xcode.  I believe that once explorer is running you just have to go through the Menu bars to open the applicable setting

Yeah, forgot that's how some things work on the mac.  Just had to click the program to make the top bar change to the menu for that.  I kept expecting a program window to give me available options.

The limited 6.a consisted of two dtec drivers a one twfk, the 6c is one dtec and two twfk all drivers have different model numbers. I'd consider that as a totally different design.

I'm not sure what sq u r looking for, if u describe the sq and the music genres u like we may be able to give a better response rather than discussing products or comparing products of a banned company

Beyond that I built that 6 driver a long time ago... I can't rightly recall the sound... I just recall the drivers

I like a nice clean neutral/natural sound.  If it's in the recording, I want hear it but I don't want a lot (really any) coloring of the sound or added effects.  I like to feel like I'm in the studio.

Consider the N4/4c, Savant, or K10

My pick would be the Savant, to match your audio preference
