Anyone got a link to a good comparitive review of the Noble range? universal/ciem I dont care at this point.
I know innerfidelity did one on the 5C and switch models.

I just want to explore which noble universal iem would be a good step up on bass and meatiness compared
to my stagediver sd-2

Several reviews. I would not just go purely on reviews. I would strongly recommend demoing them before buying. I had a chance to check them out at the NYC meet. I was on the fence about getting the k10 or the Roxanne. Demoing it sold it for me.

somebody compared them with fitear tg334!
Different ball-game.

The TG!334 has slightly sweeter mids and image focus when it really hits its sweet spot in terms of source and track synergy, but the K10 is significantly better in terms of stage size, treble extension and quality, bass speed and quality (quantity is probably similar, but the TG!334 can sound a bit boomy at times due to its slower delivery), and overall balance. Best of all, the K10 sounds awesome no matter what you throw at it whereas I've found the TG!334 can swing from breathtaking on some tracks to merely very good on others.

All just my opinions from extensive TG!334 auditions (I REALLY wanted to love them, but kept being disappointed when they didn't perform as well across a wide range of genres). I'm keen to read other people's thoughts too

Yes. Agreed. Went and did my own A/B comparison between the fitear tg334 and K10 demos. The Fitear indeed has one of the clearest and sweetest mids and sparkle in its treble. Vocals sound positively shimmery when played on the TG334. However, it doesn't do as well on other non-vocal tracks. Rock and edm sound rather muted as the bass seems to lack the punch and the wide soundstage of the K10s.

Think of the Fitears as a vocal specialist while the K10 is more of a musical all-rounder. If your main song selection is purely vocal, I'd recommend the fitears. They're by far the best performer in that category. If you have a wider range of songs that you cycle through, then I would really suggest that you get the K10 instead. Art and function in one lovely package.

The closest contender to the K10 throne (to me) was the 1964 ears V8, it's got the same wide soundstage as the K10 and a really boomy punchy bass. I actually liked the V8's bass a little more than the K10, but the sheer artistry of Wizard's designs won me over. I just love being able to customize my K10 design. Heh.

It's quite a shame really. I've always been a huge huge fan of the UE series. I absolutely loved the UE super 5 pro and triple 5/10 pro. The JH13&16 FP pro really blew me away. I was saving up to get the Roxanne because I felt that JH could do no wrong. I was really glad I decided to try the demo just before buying it. I hate to say this, but it was rather disappointing. It sounded extremely muted and veiled and nothing at all like the JH sound that I was so impressed by. I actually preferred the JH16 pro over the Roxanne...

I thought it was a fluke. I mean like how could the Roxanne sound so horribly wrong? I seriously didn't feel like it was an improvement over the JH13 or 16 pro. Going to their appreciation thread just to confirm what I heard ended up giving me a second shock. I had thought that maybe their demo was faulty. Was planning on buying the JH16 pro just in case it wasn't though. Glad I decided to check up on the current situation before i went any further though. I love the JH sound, but I think that making their customers wait 6-9 months without any proper explanation is ridiculous. To say nothing of their shoddy cables or failed first batch craftsmanship that I was reading about.

I know that maybe I don't pay as much as some of the big name clients in the industry, and I'm certainly nowhere near as popular or as famous as one of their regular rock star customers. But I'd like to think that my purchase matters. More importantly, I think that i'm not just buying a product, but I'm also in part buying into a company's ideals and passions. Sadly, it seems that JH have changed from the wonderful company that I thought they were. Thus, I decided to put my faith (and purchase) in Noble audio. Just thought I'd say that I love the passion that the Noble team is putting into their work. How you guys keep churning out beautiful wizard designs one after another, your constant presence and banter here on the forums or the fantastic customer service that I hear about. Keep it up guys. You guys have got my vote. (And purchase)

Hi!

Thanks for advice both! I mostly listen to instrumental...alot of ambient and computer processed classical. So i found my er4s super unengaging unless it also happened to be incredibly well recorded (the group Pan American for example). the stagediver sd-2s are MUCH better on base and 3d soundstage. vocals though are not a match for the clarity and naturalness of the er4s.

Yeah so demoing is really key. I absolutely see that ...unfortunately Noble and fitear dont sell in the UK :frowning2: so unless we have another meet sometime im screwed.

Currently just by going by their site, the universal 5 and 6 appeal. I want more bass slam and visceral SQ but not
to totally muddy the uppers or conceal the mids.

Yeah. I don't really know your sound preference and i've never heard the stagediver or the HD650, so I can't really do much of a recommendation for you. Plus, I think given the amount you're paying, an audition would really be necessary.

I have tried the 8C and the K10 though, and I have to say that I found the treble on the 8C to be a little lacking... in fact it was kind of anemic... I did test the K10 first before trying the 8C though, so YMMV. But considering the small price difference and the amazing sound of the K10, you might as well just jump into the deep end and pull the trigger on the K10. Only if you're considering between the 8C and K10 of course. Heh.

I've tried most of the Noble range, except for the 3 and the 8, and the K10 was the one that absolutely blew me away. It had a bit of everything - an impressive soundstage, loads of clarity, precise imaging, tight and textured bass, a sweet, lush midrange, and endless treble that was sparkling and clear.

I have not heard the Stagediver SD-2 myself, but if you're looking for an IEM that is simply outstanding, the K10 certainly fits the bill.

The sound coming from the K10 can be compared to the gods of the headphone arena. It rivals my HD800 and LCD-XC.  Best sounding IEM I have ever herded, PERIOD.  The price is one of the biggest down side of the K10 but I think it’s worth the investment if you are on a quest for the perfect sound.

It has the treble extension, soundstage, speed and imaging of the HD800?

I hope this isn't taken as being rude as it is not meant that way. Am I missing something?
The creative finishes and artwork are in many instances beautiful but. I wear my IEM's out and about. I don't really want people peering at my ears wondering about the strange jewellery I am wearing. Do other people enjoy the attention that Wizard designs must attract?

It's a very valid point. I opted for a design that was unique to Noble and personal to me, but hopefully not over the top fancy in the "look at me, look at me" aspect. We'll see how many people notice.
