Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Soundstage, placement and locationing is superb with the K10. I'm rather fond of Keith Jarrett's Köln concert and I can pinpoint the guy coughing in the audience.

Thanks for the reference. Would the K10U have same SQ than the Custom ? Read that the Wizard owns only Universals... Not bad idea to avoid impressions.

I have heard both. I own the blue "Wizard Wood" K10 that John posted (2nd from the bottom), and I heard the K10U at RMAF.

Bottom line, they sound almost identical, and that is a very, very good thing indeed. The universal captures all of the magic of the full on custom. I will say that from my listening experience, the custom fit K10 had just a bit more bass (due to a better seal in my ear, I would imagine), but you might be able to use different tips to get closer to that ideal seal. I didn't have other tips when I listened to the K10U, so I imagine a better fitting tip would give that last bit of bass.

Avoid who's impressions, my impressions? That should be fairly easy to avoid as I don't think I have ever posted any.

It is against head fi rules for me to write any subjective impressions, and beyond that I'd rather not write any impressions at all as they could be interpreted as self serving biased BULL

And that doesn't coincide with our company name and business philosophy

I think he meant that he would like to avoid having EAR impressions taken. If the K10U sounds as good as the K10 (and it does), he could avoid having to have ear impressions taken by simply getting the K10U.

How can the good folks living in down under get a chance to audition the noble gear. The Universal K10 has my full attention after seen how large and fragile roxanne was.

Nice Toyota.  You look to be an adventurous man. Hunting down wood for your Noble line?

Nah, the truck is the family farm truck, we need the 4x4 (and 4 door) capabilities as the rubber tree farm is parked fairly deep in the mountains. The roads/trails get really bad during the rain season, and two wheel drive trucks sometimes can't make the trip.

Yes FullCircle, sq3rjick helped a lot here. I was speaking of ear impressions.
I had read that you liked IEMs and having lost my left ear because of osteospongiosis the surgeon placed a titanium tube into it. I think you are aware of the process. And I was thinking that I should avoid a CIEM. What is your advice ?

Working on the side of caution, I'd opt for the IEM route

I love my Pure II for iem's.  Using it with my K10's.
