Hahaha. The though of selling it to fund a custom Savant has crossed my mind but, I just can't justify paying 1600 for a prestige Savant a few months after paying $2000 for the k10s.

If you can do customs on both the K10s and Savants, then that's "The Life" for sure!

Aside from the comfort, how to you find the sound quality of the universal Savant compares with your K10s?

As much as I am liking the Savants, I don't think they hold a candle to the k10s as far as sound quality, but, then again, no other earphone I've heard does. Even my Fostex TH600, which beats the k10 in terms of soundstage and the other things you would expect a pair of full-size headphones to beat an iem in, pales next to the k10 in terms of pure sound quality. The one thing that continues to amaze me about the k10 is the fact that EVERYTHING sounds great coming through them, no matter the genre, style, or file quality. While the Savant appears to have some of that genre-bending ability, it doesn't have that total all-around excellence that the k10 has. That said, I can imagine someone who values the cleanliness of sound over the richness of sound preferring the Savant to the k10.

It isn't a prestige but it is carbon glass, I got it done as a wizard reprint. I posted some pictures several pages back if you wanted to have a look.

 
Went to look at your photos, and yeah, they are incredible. Black and blue have always been my favorite colors, too. Nice!

Haha. Yeah, I know, this hobby is incredible good at shrinking your bank account. One minute gone, and you're a couple grand short. Wow, where did it go?

I used to think that the impact on my bank account was the worst thing about this hobby. Turns out I was wrong. The worst thing is waiting for new kit to arrives. Savants ordered 5 weeks ago, hopefully nearly here...

Just got my K10's back from a refit. These things are bloody wonderful.
Worth every bean.
I've spent a few weeks listening to my IE8's waiting. The 8's are good but don't hold a candle to the K10's.
