My birthday was yesterday. (So do I get some of that cake Brannan? I am guessing no one else wants to eat it now that my K10's were touching it.)

Oh no! I was going to wait until the SF meet to listen to the 5C and 8C until I made a decision.

I need help deciding and quick. I'm a bass head and listen to mostly EDM and trance. Any suggestions?

So far is has been a bit hit or miss with me, in terms of noticing much of a sonic improvement. I briefly tried out my K10s hooked up directly to a Hugo/laptop setup, and was impressed. It would be interesting to try the Hugo again, but in combination with a portable DAC/balanced amp, to see how much a difference it makes.

I'm running mine balanced now from my RSA Intruder. I did notice an audible (to my ears) improvement in soundstage, but it wasn't like night and day.
