Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I listened to the Triumph at CanJam this weekend. The dudes at Bloom mentioned there was a needed software update to increase volume but couldn’t get them to update properly. I was at about 85-90% max volume on my phone to get into the 70db range so there’s definitely some software stuff to work out.

They sounded really good. Very very fast with ample bass. I was surprised they were able to tune it to give it some meat and note weight. Definitely preferred these over my Svanar in pretty all regards except soundstage depth. I’ll also say I was underwhelmed with the case. They’re using some type of felt/alcantara/fuzzy stuff for the case material. It felt really cheap and crushable, and already looked dirty.

That's real Alcantara from Italy.

Fancy! I don’t know much about that material, can it hold up pretty well going in and out of pockets and bags every day? I know some guys had some concerns with the new Hiby dap using it but doesn’t seem to be too big of a deal. Also, are you planning multiple colorways? I’m thinking the gray alcantara probably shows more finger smudges and crumbs it picks up, and maybe a darker variant would fare better visually. Like I said, I’m really impressed with the sonics, they are not something I’ve ever heard before from a tws in terms of speed and transients. It’s cool to see something markedly different come out once in while

I own the Falcon Max. The most recent update increased the volume by 6db according to the firmware notes. That update also seemed to disable or bug out snapdragon sound. Can't get 24/96 and lossless from aptx adaptive. Tried it on both my Asus Rog 7 & 8 pro. Fingers crossed that they get the Triumph right with there Firmware updates and app functionality

My BMW e39 car seats are Alcantara, and that car is 20+ years old

the material is used for cell phone covers, car door handles etc etc.

The color combination is the same found in the BMW 1M.

Is the triumph an upgrade to the Prestige?

Honestly, that's a hard question to answer, as the answer really depends on what your preferences are.

Latest and greatest in driver technology/advancements = Triumph

Artisan hand finished unique build = Prestige

Bass you can taste = Prestige

Tried and proven technology combination = Prestige

Unmatched speed, practically zero decay = Triumph

Smaller housing = Triumph

Lower Price Point = Triumph

Exclusivity = Prestige

I’m more of a subbass than a midbass guy, do you think the Prestige would be too much for me? I love the KK tuning, by the way.

I look at this situation this way:

The Prestige bass response has more flexibility, as the bass driver is larger than the Triumph. Meaning you can go to the EQ and control the behavior to a wider degree than compared to the Triumph, as ultimately physics will come into play and a smaller bass driver will have more limitations compared to a larger driver.

Sorry if this has already been talked about before but how did you guys tame the ringing treble on Ragnar. I just got the IEM and I love everything about it, especially
well texture bass, except the treble is sort of annoying at time. Sibilance kinda ruins the party. Unfortunately, I don't have a dap with good EQ so my option may be limited
to tips and cables. Hope more burnin will refine the treble a bit.

When I first put Prestige on and ran it through my favourite tracks, my reaction was uncharacteristically visceral because I was genuinely shocked at how good they sounded. I could have retired from wired IEMs, they're that good. If you're looking for that noble house sound, Prestige is just a whole new level of fidelity with excellent flexibility on the EQ without it having sound too digitized or artificial.

I hope you won't mind me asking is there any particular reason moving away from the bigger DD driver in Triumph? It was present in the whole Fokus line until now. Ta
