Hmm, I seem to be on a similar hunt to you RAZ, I'm interested in seeing how you view the Sultan vs Thummim and Odin

I was just down to Odin and Thummim but with recent reviews of Odin it seems to be on the technical side A18 side, which isn't the realm I'm looking for so now I'm down to Thummim still and Sultan keeps popping up in my search. I like hard shell IEMs too, not acrylics are a bonus for me

Is the custom shell you got an added cost/feature able to be purchased? Id be interested in a different faceplate then the original. I like the looks better then the Thummim too so.. who knows Sultan might just pull ahead. Driver wise Thummim is in my winning side so far

The extra plates are only 200$ for the material that I chose. John can confirm this but I think some might cost a bit more depending on what you’re after

crap that first picture is absolutely gorgeous. It's subtle and not pronounced but, quite deep. Wow. Never seen an IEM that could be like that. If the sound could only match..

What is offered is "one off" face plates for the Sultan (not technically a full prestige Sultan).

Price = starting @ $200, but it can increase according to the requested materials used. That said, for the most part $200 is the fee.

Materials possible, basically any materials we have used to build prestige universals with.

Lead time - (2 - 6 weeks) Each plate is hand carved / hand finished & unfortunately there is a lot of shipping involved, so that burns up time as well.


The hope is, eventually we can have one off plates ready made, such that there will be no lead time.

Price = starting @ $200, but it can increase according to the requested materials used. That said, for the most part $200 is the fee.

Materials possible, basically any materials we have used to build prestige universals with.

Lead time - (2 - 6 weeks) Each plate is hand carved / hand finished & unfortunately there is a lot of shipping involved, so that burns up time as well.


The hope is, eventually we can have one off plates ready made, such that there will be no lead time.

So far I've only seen this blue design which seems to be the HK special edition you made. Do the faceplates come off easily to be changed? Or does the Sultan need to be sent to you to have it replaced with a new faceplate?

If you're willing to make that faceplate in one off variations and different colors I'm incredibly intrigued. All metal body and Custom face plate yet still universal and with Estat & reviews seemingly point towards my preferred signature....

I mean the Sultan wasn't on my TOTL King purchase list for long but now I seem to have to add it, and get my hands on one to see how it stacks up to Thummim and Odin and see who becomes the winner. I think Odin has fallen to the back seat based on reviews so far.
