Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Bead needle or acupuncture needle

Thanks to Dr Moulton and everyone else for the suggestions. I tried using a thin needle but that's pushed it further in, almost onto the driver...I was actually thinking about (gently) using a hand-pump for inflating a football in reverse, with the pump needle placed over the bore opening - cheaper than the Jodi-Vac!...But I'm concerned a vacuum might be created in the bores which could be bad for the drivers.

Hello i'm currently looking at purchasing the Noble 6 universal as I can get it for a seriously good price ( half the price brand new) I just wanted to know if anyone has experience with them and can let me know if they are worth it? I'd be listening to The Prodigy, Rap, Trance and Hardstyle haha. All my library is FLAC and source is HTC 10 paired up with Shozy Magic which I love . Other recommendations are welcomed but I truly don't want to go over $800 Aud which is the price I can get the Noble 6 for.

Hmm, Im thinking it would be best to listen to your options, rather than buy something based on price?

For example, the sage may suit your sound quality tastes, and may be a cheaper option?

or even the savanna, which has been said by many to be the best value noble offers.

BTW folks, the Wizard Universals are 200$ off right now (check the website)

That's what im trying to do but the store is a good 2 hours away from my home. I currently have Fidelio X2 as my home headphone and I have had a listen to the Savanna which I do agree is amazing bang for the buck but I felt that I wanted a tad more bass.

I'll try to have a listen to the Sage, maybe it's just me being used to the bass the X2 give to my ears but it was only just a tad more I wanted but it was only a brief listen of 10 minutes so my impressions are whack as I felt the same about the Etymotic Er4XR but after long listening with them, I fell in love and find the bass not to ever lack even though it is much less than most iems. I think I love bass in my musical taste but quality is more important than quantity especially when I listen to Black Sabbath, The Ramones and Motorhead.

The Sage is essentially a ER4p on steroids.   Meaning, the drivers inside are of the ED family.  (basically like BMW, 3 series/5 series/ 7 series)

one ED to take care of the mid/high region, offering up a very flat response with a 2K bump, very much like the ER4P, The bass driver is designed from the ground up to be a bass driver, has a nice sized port (bigger than the Savant had) which offers about 2dB more bass response compared to the Savant.

The Sage, is really a great EDC product, great sound for on the go.

The Savant - may also be a contender for you as well, if you liked the Savanna and the ER4P

We have two Wizard Savants left on the web site, and we have no plans to build/offer more Savants any time in the near future.

In fact the Savant is "discontinued"

Happy hunting

That description nails it. I've currently got the Sage & had the ER4-XR on review.

The Sage has super clear vocals with that slightly mid-centric bump but underpinned with a 'sensible' amount of bass (bass-heads I guess would be better served by the Dulce Bass).

They also have a nice open/'airy' presentation with good detail retrieval so all up, yes "ER4 on steroids" is a great way to sum them up!

Just plugged in my Andromedas for the first time since I got K10. I remembered them to be better, compared to K10 they sound thin. The Kaiser is more analogue sounding, more soothing and relaxed. The Kaiser truly is spectacular. Hope to hear the Encore too some day.
