What are everyones preferance on cable pairings for the k10?

OCC? SPC? Straight Silver? OCC/SPC hybrid?

Nucleotide? Type 6 Litz?

4 core? 8 core?

SPC so far, but I might jump on a straight silver some day when funds allow.

I use pure silver with my K10s and found it opened up the sound stage and treble a tad which really compliments the sound signature of the CIEMs. It is 4 strands of 21awg Litz 6 if that makes a difference.

That’s not nearly as ropey (that's a word now) as I expected, actually. How flexible is it?

Not amazing but it works and sounds good which is the main thing :D

Silver seems to work best for me.  But some can be sibilant or tone down the bass.  IMO, two that have been a great combo with the K10 for me are the Whiplash TwagV3 and Ted'sHeadphoneLounge Silver Litz V2.  They add a little treble clarity and maintain the signature bass and mids of the K10.  Plus, they are not outrageously priced.  In particular, I was astonished at the quality and SQ of Ted's silver, and the price is so much more reasonable than so many of the new boutique cables.  Honestly, 8 conductor cables are more impressive looking, but I've had a difficult time hearing much difference from the 4 conductors when you are talking about a 4 or 5 foot cable. Deciding on the number of conductors may also be influenced by your need for portability and flexibillty.   Strictly my personal opinion, but I hope this helps.

It is indeed. Going to be getting a Hydra 22 4 cable soon as well as it is more flexible for portable use.

The Hydra 22 is absolutely beautiful. Definitely one of the prettiest cables around. I have a few of his cables (Black Widow, Virus Hybrid), and they are all very well made. As a bonus, they sound great, too! Frank makes great work.
