Hey John. You may have been asked this question before, but why did you choose the handle FullCircle?
Great question!
As a kid growing up, I loved audio, loved tinkering with electronics, loved working with my hands, but I couldn't afford to do anything that could utilize what I loved to do as a career choice. My high school job at Radio Shack wasn't going to cut it.
So, I took the safe route, I went to college, got my degrees "worked for the man" and with some stroke of luck ended up in a job situation that gave me a chance to earn a good deal of money. Eventually I cashed out, liquidated everything, and moved to Thailand. (there is a story in that as well)
With the money that I had from my days in America, I purchased land/ real estate in Thailand with the idea that the rent money would afford my family and I a comfortable living. (if any one reading this understands Thai law, they know the rest of the story) In Thailand, a non Thai can not own property, so I purchased all the assets in my loving wife's name.
The last home I purchased was in a gated community, very nice, and expensive. About 12 weeks after I purchased the home, my loving wife informed me of her "true love." I lost just about everything I had. Luckily, I has some money left outside of her reach, and with that money I said with said good bye to my two sons, left for China, to start a company there. I didn't want to return to America, as I figured I would never see my sons again, as most Audiologist get 1 week off for vacation. It takes about 4 days to travel to Thailand and back! After about two years in China, I escaped that "situation."
So I returned to doing what I love to do, I work with my hands, I work with audio gear, I build things, and I create things.
I have gone "Full Circle" several times in life, financially, career, and relationships.
But, I'm getting too old for these cycles..... !
I also wanted to open an audio company and call it "FullCircle" (FC). "Rico Suave" and I had been working on doing that for some time/ My "wife's" family was involved in a hearing aid company in Thailand, it seemed like a natural fit. We were getting fairly close, had a web site built, had the content written, had photos of CIEM ready, etc etc. But two things happened right when we were getting ready to kick things off. Rico had to leave and do his army service (mandatory in Thailand) and my "loving wife" decided she loved another......
Any how, those dark days are over. Rico was released from the military, and we talk nearly every day. I have a new life now, a great wife, two beautiful daughters and Noble.
I have gone, FullCircle
Honestly, the stories I have to tell are long and many, I have blog worthy tales!
