  The saving grace in this so called hobby, can be the for sale, trade section. It has to be the best way to upgrade without having to go bankrupt.
 

This is how I saved $650.  Found a rare person who was willing to let go of their custom k10's,
 
2 weeks in to the build,  4 to 6 weeks to go.

Just got back from Taipei, guess what I found in the most unlikely of places:
 

 
 
Way back, to the left of the JBL logo. Yeah I was pretty surprised, the brown boxes next to the Sony amp in the foreground are Universals.

Pretty slick stuff. I enjoy my JBL 4429's at home but on the go I use my K10 customs (or Layla). I also had the Westone 5 customs but not anymore (lost one earpiece :frowning2: ). I still remember the warm sound signature of the Westone 5 - perfect for vocal .Nice to see all logos in one pic.

That looks like an area called Xi Men Ding, i bought a tiny panasonic casette player there 20+ years ago there.
