i just wondered why many threads suggest the se215 is bettered by many others chi-fi iems but i have read all the reviews and am struggling to find one which has as good isloation and warm/dark voicing that is empahsises the mid-range and vocals?
i wamted a dynamic driver as i prefer the timbre.

One thing I have to say is, the durability of these are amazing...

I bought my Shure se215 back in 2012 or so - they are still going strong and I treat them like crap. I have only replaced the cable once. Excellent value and durability, which are my main two things I look for in a portable listening solution. They sound good enough too, non-fatiguing and great for many genres... Also, they work great for monitoring when playing drums.
