I just got mine, it had the chrome plate instead of the brushed finish plate. Dissected it and the innards look exactly like the ones Kirsa posted above.
If you compare this with the pix posted by the OP earlier on in this thread i guess these headphones are pretty much fake.

On another note, the diaphragm of the drivers does look exactly like the originals though

My friend bought a sennheiser hd448 headphones from ebay, and lent them to me.
The sound is not as good as I expected. So I opened them and took a few pictures.
What do you think? Are they fake.
I must add - sound is not terrible. Little bit too thin and uninvolving - like HD201's.
I have sennheiser 495 and PMX100. Both are much better. And I have owned Hd600's.
But these 448-s are better than HD202's.

I assume they are fake.
