Hello. Peter just became a new member. I found this site because I was searching for headphone amps with balance control. I'm looking for one to use with my headphone, but also can be used as a preamp for my little Houston mini 1998 tube amp, which has no balance. My listening position is not ideal, so it would be a nice combination. I found the Transrotor Kopfhörerverstärker which can be used as a preamp and has balance and some tone control, but I'm trying to find one a bit cheaper.

Hi everyone, my name is Bjorn, an internationalized Swede (right now based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, before this London). Listening to music in a high-quality way was re-kindled for me as a hobby during the pandemic (with people all around me, escaping into an immersive bubble of sound became a savior of my sanity). Happy to be here and be a member of this community.

Hello. I just joined a few weeks ago and already purchased a handful of different headphones. I wasnt sure exactly which to try first so ended up with clears, lcd-x plus a few others! Will end up keeping hopefully 1 (maybe 2) sets.

I would make sure you are using a good DAC and high resolution streaming service, with your new headphones. Nice picks of headphones to start. 👍

New here. Trying to get some opinions on wireless headphones to replace some Plantronic BBSENSE that are getting old which I use for casual listening and traveling. I have HD600 that I love for more critical listening.

Looking for high quality *on-ear*, not over the ear. Seems most people are doing over ear or in ear, and not many options for on-ear. Sadly, wondering if I should be looking at the Beats Solo3, since it is on ear and would support iOS spatial audio. Never been a Beats fan, so interested in what recommendations for good quality wireless on-ear headphones are out there.

Hi everyone. I've been an off-and-on lurker for a literally a decade. I'm finally at a point where I want to step deeper into personal audio and hope to participate in engaging discussions about setups and cans!

Hey everyone. I'm finally ready to upgrade my iRiver H120 and I'm kind of surprised (in a good way) and overwhelmed by the number of high end choices available now. Just researching the many options at the minute. My iRiver is working fine but I'm sure I could do much better. Probably way better.

Can anyone recommend audio dealers around London where I can listen to some of the newer DAPs? So far I've only found Astell & Kern players on demo. Thanks alot.

Hi All,
I`m Martin from the Netherlands. English is not my native language, so the grammar will not be perfect. But I try my best.
Started about a year ago to get seriously into the headphone hobby. Always been into music, always owned a headphone but now it`s really getting out of hand. Started with a simple dac (topping d10s) and my old Sennheiser HD 558. Now I own a few more headphones and Amp/DAC`s and trying to keep myself under control because you can really get sucked into this hobby and spent way to much money. Always looking for more information and probably new targets to buy. This is the place to be to get that information. So I will be here just like the last year, but now as a member of the forum to share my highs and lows with this hobby. And my obligated first post :)
