I have a friend that joined a few weeks ago and still can not post in this or other threads?

Does anyone know the time required for this to work??

Thanks
Alex
Your friend should be able to post on the Help and Recommendations board, among other places. You might have him PM @AxelCloris and ask for some assistance. Good luck.

Hi All, name is Karl. I've been floating on this site for the last 2-3 months, and have already been bitten by upgradeitis. Can't say I wasn't forewarned, but it's amazing how quickly i've been able to justify a purchase that only 2 months ago seemed outlandish(selling a Bifrost/4490 with 50 hours on it and getting a Gumby). Fortunately I've found this site very instructive, so I'm comfortable with the direction I've chosen.

I am right there with you. I went from a Vali 2 in December to a new Valhalla 2 this week. I already have a Mimby and reviewed a Gumby, so I can appreciate the difference in the chipset. Welcome, and remember this is a fun Hobby!

Hey guys, I'm new here and wanted to say hi! I'm waiting to get out of the "new member forum jail" j/p! I understand the issues with spam.
I've been into this audiophile stuff for about 4 1/2 years and looking forward to learning more (the rabbit hole is getting DEEP!) I was invited here by someone i met on the YOuTubes. He said this would be good for me...not my wallet. Gald to be here! I'll sit down now, I'm done introducing myself.

Welcome!! Where on the east coast are you located?

Hello Head-Fi community! After nearly a decade I have decided to post stuff and ask questions on the forums!! Mostly used this site in the past to read reviews and/or drool over some users' rigs and equipment. Hoping to be more active here!

I hardly feel qualified to welcome a new head-fi-er, being one myself, and spend maybe 70% of my listening time on 2 ch, but St. Patrick’s Day today is a big deal in Cle, and I’m feeling my pints, listening to the Prodigals “Go On” album at a volume that might damage my hearing w/ HP! I find inspiration on this site and in wallet-bleeding exploits such as yours! My budget right now is B-stock Vali 2, looks like they’ve got a Schiit load, then who knows ...?

Hi, everyone! I just wanted to say how excited I am to join this community. About a year ago I bought a pair of Meze 99 Classics and a FIIO Q1 Mk II, and thought I could stay away from any new purchases. I was pretty good until a few months ago, and then it all went downhill fast. Since then I’ve bought an HD6xx, DT 990 Premium 600 ohm, JDS Labs Element, Macaw GT600S IEMs, DV 336SE (and a couple of tubes), SMSL SU-8 v2, and some T2 Pro IEMs. I think I have a problem. Anyway, I look forward to learning as much as I can from all you awesome people, and maybe taking some equipment off some of your hands!

Yeah, you’ve had quite a cash hemorrhage and unless you give your wallet to someone who can strap you down in your listening chair you’re doomed to a happy death!

Hello. My name is Michael, and I am here to gain knowledge about tech purchases. I did personal scale audio production work as a teenager and in my early twenties, with my own mixing and recording gear. Later in life, I am now looking to be behind boards again, professionally this time. I have done a bunch of research recently, so I can come to the table with the correct tools, which has led me to this place several times. So now I am on a path to ask my own questions, rather than just searching for what others have asked. Thanks for having me.
