Hello fellow Head-fiers,
Figure that I should do a proper introduction at last.

I have been a very long time lurker (registered in 2008). It's not that I don't want to contribute to the community, but I feel that my knowledge can't be compared with the others, and beside opinions about audio is highly subjective so I feel uneasy to let my opinions influent others.

My first "good" headphones was the famous Koss KSC75. Recently I'm more active because of the need to finding new gears since I'm have more money now :)

Thanks to all the contributors/reviewers!

Hi,

I'm a 24 year old guy, currently only an "audiophile" by using an ableton push through the NI audio 2 DJ (this one with cirrus logic http://www.head-fi.org/products/native-instruments-traktor-audio-2) and the Focal Spirit Professional (that I bought after reading a few reviews from here!). I also play bass guitar

I'm about to buy a DAP with IEM for ~200€, either a HM-700 with re400 or Fiio X1 + RHA ma750.

This post is only to introduce myself, but any help is appreciated :)

Cheers!
Hugo

Hi everyone,

Obviously a new user here and relatively new to lurking the site although I have come across it on occasion over the years!

My lurking started recently with Fiio E10X reviews and so I leapt in and bought one...then I found out about the Alesis Groove just 1 day later and bought that too!! oooppss! can't wait until they arrive....think I'll be selling the E10X.

Now I've got some serious Headphone envy after seeing countless reviews on the HD650, AKG 702, Philips X2, Oppo PM-3 etc. etc...must resist!!

Currently have:

Beyer DT250s - bought over 10 years ago
Shure E3c - bought 6 years ago
kicker hp402b - bought a year ago

...WHATS NEXT?!

Cheers!
Kerry.

Hi all! been trolling this site for some time, and finally decided to join... Currently looking at upgrading from ipods to a hifi dap... unfortunately like the home audio hobby, this hobby isn't gonna be easy on the wallet, but one who enjoys listening to music as often as possible, guess my wallet is screwed, period...

Greetings!, I'm fairly new here too. Yes, my wallet has been brutalized since I joined and found out about the sounds beyond Bose.
I picked up a set of Shure 535 IEMs, Philips Fidelio S2BK/28, a JDSLABS cMoyBB v2.03 AMP and a Fiio X5II.  I'm Jonesing for a pair of HD650 or HD700 now. Hopefully my old Marantz receiver will be enough to power them. I have to pull it out of storage and check what it's spects are. I haven't used it since about 1990!

I'm waiting on reading some reviews on the upcoming ibasso dx80... otherwise i'm leaning on spluring on the questyle qp1... for headphones the best I've got right now are Sennheiser hd 380 pro's, but those are for use at home. at work i've got some low end akg k77's...

rig at work for listening is: ipod>hrt istreamer>bravo audio v2

the bravo v2 was my intro to tube amp audio

I had been looking a lot at the ibasso dx80 too. The reviews and articles here are really helpful and informative. I settled on the FiioX5II because most of the listening I do is with IEMs right now and on the go. As I said, I'm looking to set up a home system with higher end headphones and hopefully my old receiver. I don't even remember what model it was. If it is not up to the task of powering some good headphones I will be in the market for an amp as well.

Last year i upgraded my home theater receiver to an Anthem mrx-510, but can't say i've plugged my headphones in it yet...

bought a pair of MEE audio M6's, and joined the massdrop on Final audio design IEM's, so those will be my introduction to decent IEM's...

i only put the headphones on at home when i'm doing bills, house/yard work, or when i want to drown out wife & daughter...  i'm either plugged into one of the ipods, or the laptop for more musical choices!
