@ThSGM: you should have a personal message from when you signed up that has the following explanation in it:

New member restrictions and your profile

Please note that some features, such as being able to edit your profile, avatar and signature, create and edit lists, upload pictures as well as send more than one PM per day will become available only after you've made a few posts due to issues with spammers abusing them. Once you've made a few posts and these features become available, please do fill in your profile and keep it updated, as that will help people see what music you like and what audio gear you use. PLEASE DO NOT SPAM (make useless posts) to get access to features. If everyone did that our forum would quickly fill up with rubbish. If you do so you very likely will have your account banned.

If you have a problem with your registration, such as not receiving emails or wanting to change your user name, please reply to this message. Please do not create a new account.

Also, new members cannot post classifieds (for sale or wanted to buy). Please do not make posts or threads for either outside the classified forum as they will be deleted. Head-Fi is a community, not a trading service and the classifieds are for active community members. People who try to get around our restrictions on the use of classifieds (such as spam-posting to get access) will have their accounts banned. Use eBay or Audiogon instead.

Just signed up so I read all this

Hi Souldiver,

I am not new to audio, and have been a long term lurker on this site, decided it was time I start contributing. I think you will find the members being very helpful as you consider all the options open to you as a new audiophile. This site does a good job of fairly reviewing and covering components at all price ranges. Welcome from an old retired guy.

Been in and out of here for a bit. I have always owned a decent pair of headphones. Recently signed up as I was forced to get into better gear cause speakers were no longer an option. I love music and have worked as a dj for over a decade. Now just on Fridays though. My other interest are longboarding, collecting watches (G-Shock and Seikoholic here), and Japanese super robots. Currently I have an HD700, HD600, and Hifiman HE400i for my headphones and I use an AKjr for my DAP. At home and office I use a MBP 13in Retina with an ALO Pan AM or an an M&M Schiit stack. Glad be to be more active here and really enjoying the people around here.

My friend's an audiophile. He probably tripped me into this audio world. I have a CKX5IS from AudioTechnica and a sweet Siberia V2 headset. Looking to dive into c-IEMs and IEMs.

Hello all, my name is Hamza and I joined today. I am planning on getting the Hifiman HE1000 but still not sure if Schiit Gungnir and Mjolnir 2 would be the best dac/amp combo for this headphone... Any advice!?

Welcome to Head-Fi, Hamza!

My advice would be to listen to your upcoming HE1000 with as many DAC/amps as you can and come to the determination what sounds the best to you.

I have listened to my HE1000 with a plethora of equipment, but am very content with what I use now, which is the Questyle Audio QP1R and the CEntrance DACport Slim DAC/amp ($99 shipped from Massdrop).

Take care, and welcome, again!
