Hello Head-Fiers,
After an unconvincing dalliance with head-fi equipment in 2015, | returned to the fold earlier this year with an out-of-necessity purchase of a pre-loved combo, the Topping A70 Pro and Audeze LCD-2 CB. My initial impressions were, "hmm, okay" and then after a few more sessions I was thinking "this is more like it!"
More recent purchases of the HiFiMan Sundara and Aune S17 Pro have just further convinced me that this time around head-fi can really satisfy my listening needs.
So after lurking here for most of 2024, I thought it only fair to add myself to the membership of this site.
Thanks to everyone who has already helped me with useful information and indirect advice.

Hi, gang.

I'm a long-time music lover, amateur guitarist and a photographer who's been exploring sound recording for a videography project. Head-Fi, and it's members, have been super helpful as I've researched headphones and other gear that will help me move ahead.

Thanks for the knowledge and generous spirit I've encountered so far. I hope I can pay it forward in the future.

Best wishes,
Jeff

... Mostly excited to take advantage of the 2nd hand market and get my hands on a few different headphones and dac/amps to try.
Don't forget to watch The Deals DISCUSSION Thread. People post a lot of sales and various deals they come across. It could be very dangerous to your wallet/finances. The nice thing, a lot of the equipment will come with some sort of warranty. Not all of it will be returnable if you don't like it.

The other suggestion I will give. If you can and able, try to go to some of the HeadFi meetups or similar events. It's a nice way to get to hear a lot of different equipment rather than taking someone's "word" about it. Only you know what you like and enjoy.

Hello everyone, I've been a long-time lurker on this site but haven't posted until now.

I guess I’m the new guy here. My current setup primarily focuses on DAPs, portable amplifiers, and IEMs. I’m currently using the SP3000, PB5 Osprey, and the Prestige LTD.

I hope to learn more from all of you and exchange knowledge about gear and audio experiences.

Nice to meet you all!

Hi everyone.

I don't know what happened, but I've been a long-time member of this forum since 2018. It seems that my "previous" account had an expired password. After selecting forgot password and changing with a new password, Head-fi.org now identified me as a new member. Nonetheless, I'm glad to be back. Thank you.

Hi everyone.

I’m Oli. I have taken the plunge with the forum, now that I want to improve my IEM set-up for work.

I have been to a couple of CanJam Londons, most recently this year, when I went to try out the IE 900 and competition at that price. The IE 900 we’re nice but it is the CA Moon Rover that I really fell for. Also liked the Noble Spartacus. I have Stax L700 with SRM 006tII at home, so you can tell that I love a speedy sound, and bass depth isn’t a big thing for me.

I am hoping to get the Moon Rover soon, but will just be feeding it from a Dragonfly Red for a while. Keen to try some DAPs but the A&Ks have never won me over, particularly the interface. So I will be reaching out for thoughts on that.

Hey guys!

I started researching about IEMs the moment my Skull Candy earphones have died on me, it has served me well in the past 6 years and it's time for it to rest.

IEMs haven't peaked my interest until one of my students showed them to me as part of their "get-to-know-you" part of our class and from there I was curious if these really made the difference.

Next time we met he brought 5 IEMs with different sound signatures and ear tips; from that moment one I knew I had to get 2 pairs for myself(Salnotes Zero and Wan'er). I guess it's safe to say the rest is history.

A few months go by and I was given an opportunity to review some IEMs, DACs and AMPs; the current one I'm reviewing is the LETSHUOER DZ4 with Roseselsa 9039 DAC. I'll be posting a detailed review soon here!

Cheers!

Disclaimer: I'm very very new to the world of audio and would not consider myself and audiophile; I just love listening to music on a casual level.
