Not much to look forward anymore, I guess. The other day I thought that had arrived, however it was something else worth the same value. In a week time, I'll be going away for several weeks. So if the AP200 arrives in between, it will likely be returned by the post office.

I just bought a "used" Hidizs AP200 on ebay. Still had all screen protection and stickers on it. Around same price as Indigogo (A little cheaper) but from within europe, so I saved a lot on taxes and handling fees.

I installed newest V2.0 firmware right of the bat. Didn't even want to try the stock one.

I get 18/43 in speedtest.net app. I do not know why it is so asynchronous. Streams spotify in "extreme" in all parts of my house. Also outside my house. Pretty impressed. Was expecting a lot worse, from reading in here.

Does not get hot driving Audio Technica M50x at deafening volume. Will take some pics with my thermal camera tomorrow.

Seems like my setup

Could you have them change the delivery location, or leave instructions for someone else to sign for it?

Since it is a pain in the neck to set this up and costs me money, it would be rather nice to know the unit is going to be shipped isn't it? Besides, the idea was to bring the player along...

Oh I agree and sympathize with you. Just thought that holding all your mail would be the easiest and probably safest thing to do. Does it really cost money to have your mail held? I never had to pay anything although haven't done it in a while.

@Hidizs Hk I apologize for the behavior of the other member who obtained a free review sample and then sold it on ebay.

That was very bad and against the rules.

I am part of the original demo group and would like a FW 2.0 link. My video has the most views...I think so, and i would like to complete the review on a stable firmware. So please link me to a beta of 2.0 directly or privately.

Thanks.

Since the full review might be a long time ahead, Audiophile Heaven posted a short overview of AP200. This is not a review, but an overview based on our experience so far.

I'll also share our photos with AP200 here!

When the final firmware will be available, I'll do a full in-depth review as well, but for now HIDIZS asked me about my honest thoughts on AP200, and this is the closest I can get with the state of the actual firmware.

You can find considerably more pictures in the AH post because I don't want to clog this thread.

@Hawaiibadboy from the update instructions contained in the zip file.

AP200 firmware update instruction

1. Please make sure your battery level is above 50% before firmware update

2. Connect AP200 to PC, open USB storage, copy “update.img” file to internal or TF card, switch off the USB, AP200 screen will ask firmware update, click install and make the update.

3. When finishing the update, please make sure to delete the update.img file.
