New Hidizs AP200 double DAC Android-based smart music player

Just an FYI for anyone running firmware version 0.2.1Beta. There's a bug in the software that causes the volume to get stuck going in one direction. It depends on if you're increasing/decreasing the volume, and usually occurs while listening to music with the display off. Sometimes while switching tracks with the volume keys will trigger the bug, or just double tapping the volume keys to adjust the volume. The device will get stuck going to 0 or 100, depending on what the user is trying to do.

BEWARE, IF YOU USE IEMS!

I think it jams when one confuses the buttons too much. I only accidentally induced it once. But it is worth noting.

I'm considering picking up one of these, just a couple of questions:
-Can it store Tidal and/or Spotify tracks offline on the internal memory? How about on external memory?
-How is the battery life, and CPU speed (browsing, laggy?)
-How is the sound? I'm not super picky at this point, but I'd like to know how it compares to something like a Fiio x5 gen3, or the new Cayin n5ii.

I do not use Tidal but Spotify. If you are able to download the songs from Spotify my guess it will go directly to Hidiz music or any music player app of your choice (I do not do this but did it with my Vietnamese streaming music online).
I can confirm that AP200 soundis way better than Fiio X5 III. I listen musics almost every night so AP200 sound has big improvement every time...

Spotify user (coz Tidal is too good to be officially in our shores) yes, you can store in internal (it doesn't detect the system ram so it will only show the NAND flash, which is the bigger one - i have the 64gb version with 53.97gb usable) or the SD card.

No, the music Spotify downloads is encrypted so it doesn't become available to other apps and it's only playable on the Spotify app. Other than that, the AP200 does play music a lot better than the fiio x5 iii (which I've listened to for a short time) which didn't sound that much better than my A35, so I took a gamble and waited for the AP200. It paid off, and I'm a happy user.

Just saw that this DAP has a rather high output impedance. My IEMs are only 8ohms (Oriveti New Primacy), and I'm worried this might be a problem. The Cayin n5ii has an output impedance <1ohm, which seems like a better match...
Has anyone tried using the AP200 with low-resistance IEMs?

No issue with my Andromeda, its 12.8 ohms impedance.

Firmware Version 0.2.2Beta has been posted.

1. Repair hidizs music random close
2. Optimized random pauses when playing music
3. Improved system's power management

EDIT: The ROM/Image is the same files size as 0.2.1 and it still shows 0.2.1beta in the "About Device" so who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT 2: I've uploaded it to my Google Drive https://drive.google.com/file/d/1moSHgca2YbtYos3BSJL_cRqkeGRXh2rX/view?usp=sharing

Can you upload it somewhere? Hidizs site is painfully slow.

Guess it should be alright then. Damn, you use this with Andro? Guess it must be a pretty decent DAP then. Still a little torn between this and the Cayin n5ii

I use it with my Kinera buds, tennmak trio and the andromeda. Sometimes the he400i too. It's a good source, the andromeda sounds good on it. Of course it would sound better on my wm1a, but I'm using the ap200 as my travel and work dap and with that combination, I don't miss my wm1a all that much.

I went to their support online to download the 2.2 update software and it seems not to slow at all.

Took me about 30 minutes to download.

BTW, the volume bug is still occurring, just less frequently now. Almost at random. I only noticed it while listening in Pure mode.
