Is the soundstage and separation in S6 is very wide?

Good separation, normal soundstage, neither wide nor narrow on first listen.

Interested to hear how well it drives some harder to drive IEMs or portable headphones. I thought the amp was underpowered to milk battery life but it sounds like maybe no?

It doesn't work. The manual says to put it at the root of the sd. Extracted or not?

Yep. Doesn't detect the file. Maybe it should be renamed.

Still doesn't fix the play order...a bit unusable a this stage. They say on the forum they will accelerate fw upgrade after CNY. We will see.

5. I can't compare at this stage. I suppose the s6 will punch above its price. Different sound with the M2, but the main advantage of the s6 will be size (/2) and battery (x10)

 
Any chance you can post a picture next to a credit card or something of recognizable size?

I also struck a review deal with Jack, so thanks to his perseverance, I have now guaranteed a full review (with comparisons) within 3 days after I receive the S6. Guess you guys can thank him 

 Honestly, I'm just excited about it driving high-impedance headphones well, better than the Studio V 3rd Annie. I've heard the LP5 does a fantastic job of that too... but the S6 is half the price. I'm a bit worried about the UI, and large storage problems, but at least I know for sure it has separate menu and return buttons!
 
On another note, looking at the specs, it outputs 20mW (10 per side) at 300 ohms. I know this is exactly what the HD 600 needs at a max dB SPL of 110; but wouldn't it be tougher for it to drive more sensitive headphones at that impedance? Or is 110db SPL too high?

 
I would really appreciate a SQ comparison with the Shozy Alien, as that's what this would replace.

Not a at the moment but since it is 92x58x19.5mm and a credit card is 86x54mm, so the S6 is roughly 0.5cm longer and wider. More or less the same size as a credit card.
