Does anyone know how this compares to the fiio x7 in terms of of sound quality?

I'm curious which mode do you prefer the best? I find B mode via LO to be the best overall sounding. More neutral and detailed. A mode via HO has more bass and impact. A more upfront presentation vs a very detailed presentation.

Actually, most of time I prefer HP out mode A. It's more straightforward and a bit aggressive, and that suits my taste. But with Noble Kaiser I switch to mode B, as Kaisers have their own representation, and mode B lets them shine.

X7 is amp-dependant, but in general, X7 has better resolution and level of detalisation. also, subjectively for me, it builds better soundstage, both in width and in depth

After much research, my birthday money goes to the S6.
My only gripe is a scaled down basic UI. But in the end the sound is the most important thing.
 
I was contemplating 6S, Opus1 the bit, Fiio x7 and Aune m2.
Review on this were to good to pass up.

I've just purchased S6 at second hand, and noticed that it's firmware is 1.01, then I would like to update it. But I found that HisoundAudio web is under maintenance. Could anybody kindly support me how to update the firmware? Many thanks!

I could download and update the firmware to 1.02 with the file which were uploaded on BAIDU, which were posted in this thread, but I could not find firmware 1.03. I really appreciate if someone would kindly send me the file or upload it.

As for the SQ impression with 1.02, I was surprised with its powerful sound compared with my AK240, and VALOQ (OPA627BM). I'll continue to check it with various IEMs. Thank you.
