Ultrazino, I have a question about InEar, not directly related to SD series though. LivePro series is like custom versions of SD series but I remember reading that they will remake their 4 BA model. Did they already finished it or 4BA model is still the same one? I was curious about since their webpage has an English option. I learned that they can make their customs with soft canal option, it got my curiosity since I already have a silicone earpiece ciem and I love the comfort of it.
From what I remember, the LP4 has to be totally reworked and will come out next year.

I´d like how SD2 are compare to others high end IEMs like Shure SE545, Westone 4 and...Hifiman Re400!
I´ve read in other post that hifiman and SD2 are comparable, but there is an huge difference in price. I´m looking for an upgrade from my RE400, something with more bass but good midrange and highs, and I don´t know between Sd2 and SD3. What do you think about it?

I read your amazing review Ultrazino
. According to it, I understand SD2 bass is more present, but sub bass is lesser than RE400. Highs is about the same and kids are more prominent is SD2 too. I´m looking for more bass than RE400, so I´m interested in how less sub bass can affect to SD2 sound and if I´ll need extra sub bass, because in this case I should get the SD3 model.

If you mean "more impact" than "more quantity", the SD2 should suffice. The RE400 is not possible to render kicks and vibrations realistically, IMHO. So the SD2 has more energy to my ears.

Beware, the SD3 will have much more bass than RE400, but you could always equalize it down a bit and you will have plenty of reserves to tune the bass according to your preference. What is your source?

Interesting comparison, thanks!

Haven't heard the RE400 in particular (still waiting for my RE600 to return from the loan tour), but I can very well relate to your description. HifiMAN have a habit of over-damping their IEMs to make them appear tighter and more neutral in bass, but the resulting bass sounds unnaturally strangled and anemic in my book, as if the drivers were put into a tight corset and lacked room to breath.

My current source is an iPhone 5S. Although iPhone has 2 ohm impedance, if they don't sound right with them I hope get an specific source like iBasso DX50.

Got a used SD3 for 350€ :D
Without Equalizer I would prefer the KEF M200 and IE800 for most of my music. Bass is just way too hardhitting and cloudens all the frequencies(especially vocals). A member of the german "hifi-forum" suggested to eq the bass down from 180hz about 8-15... NOW the SD3 really shines! Silky, still upfront mids with awesome sub-bass. Listening to female jazz can't get any better!
