New Beyer DT1350

The pads look quite like the larger pads available for the DT1350, but with a larger inner diameter. The headband padding looks a lot more robust...
A source would be quite interesting... the amp below the stand looks a bit like the A1, but the A1 does not have the grill at the top.

kimvictor, how are you liking the DT1350s compared to the Shure SRH-940s?

Well, I did a short comparison on my multi hp review(on my sig), but here it is:
I find the 940 to be more technically superior, with DT1350 coming very close to it. They both have very good detail and clarity, but DT1350 has better bass capability and 940 has more soundstage/imaging ability.

I will second that :)

I loved the 940s, but just found them too thin-sounding at times.  The 1350s trumped them in the end.

Not to mention the fragile build-quality of the 940s.  Really a shame that their build quality seemed to get worse as the price went up.  The 840s seem pretty rock solid as far as durability goes.

Kimvictor, that matches what I remember even though I owned them at different times.

The DT1350s have the added benefits of not looking gangly, have very good isolationism and are more durable.

Exactly. They actually look pretty good on me

But SRH940 looks ugly(hey, it's not my face that is).

Posted this in the other DT 1350 thread but thought I'd post it in here too.

Apparently the 1350's been updated and they now come with the larger 67mm ear pads, more durable cable, and a few other minor upgrades.  They're also releasing a coiled cable version as well.  Supposed to be shipping by the middle of the month.

Thank you very much for this! This is the most wonderful news I've ever read here on head-fi. :)

Great! Now how do we buy those earpads? :)

Check out this link: http://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/shop/bc/broadcast/accessories.html

If you scroll down you'll see the 67mm and nubuck pads listed but if you click on them it says the page is not available.  I get the feeling that they should be available sometime soon.  You can already purchase the nubuck pads from Adorama for $34 but it looks like it'll be cheaper if you buy them from Beyerdynamic.

Here's the link for Adorama: http://www.adorama.com/BDEDT1350NL.html
