Im new to this audio thing, and im having a hard time deciding what headphone is best.
Im torn between the Sennheiser HD 280 pro,HD 555,PX 200 II,and the Grado Prestige series SR80i.
I usually listen to rock.classic and hard,and 1970's/80's metal.
Which one would be best given my situation?
Thanks in advance.

I have not heard the first headphones you have listed. However, the SR80i would be a great match for you.

Im a little cautious of the grado though, ive heard that they break easily

The SR80i should eat those other headphones for breakfast regarding sonic quality regarding hard, classic rock and metal.

I can say that for all those phones bar the PX 200 II which I have not heard.

Although I know some metal heads that swear by the HD 280 Pro, speaking of which I've seen 3 broken
HD 280's along my travels. They break on either the left or right side hinge.

SR80i cups are almost indestructable, it's the headband assembly that is fairly basic and cheap.

Thing is they are simple to fix with a bit of glue if a cup falls off the holder. Nothing major.
