I'm currently using Audio Technica ATH-AD700s (open) headphones, which are just fine.
But I'm getting and itch to try headphones with a more/bigger base (and closed) for when I play Blu-ray disks.
The headphones would be plugged in to an Onkyo 706B receiver and a Muse headphone amp
I'm willing to spend a few more dollars then what the ATH-AD700 costs.
So what comes to mind?

If more bass is your sole priority then look at the newer sony xb1000's or look at the existing xb700's that can be had for about 80$.
 
Otherwise get the D2000's.

The Denon D2000 headphones are way more then what I want to spend.

The entire DT series from Beyerdynamic has a ton of bass. I have the DT770 and really like the bass presence

The Beyerdynamic DT700 do look good, for now, they are at the top of my list.

Decided to try doing mods on my JVC- HA-RX900s (Dynamat Xteme and recable). instead.
