Yes, I deserve that. And yes, I was being lazy.
Not many would reply to say this... Kudos!

Thanks for the music recommendations. Bought some Infected Mushroom to start.
Mr. Speakers, you did and did not answer my question. What I want to know, is what tuning pads do you use now in your personal Ether Cs since 1.1 tune has come out?

Anyone know where to get SN-8-4(P) female connectors? I'm thinking of modding my T1's to use these.
I suppose the receptacle might be SN-8-4(R)
They are the HR10A-7J-4S(73). Pretty hard to find as cheap as Dan sells the mate, the HR10A-7P-4P(73), unfortunately. We would have to order a 1000 at DigiKey for what Dan sells them for. He's amazing for selling those at the price he does. Every time I order something from (um, twice now? derp) him I throw a pair of those in the basket and will continue to for my cable making hobby.
Here is a link to them on DigiKey:
http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/HR10A-7J-4S%2873%29/HR1598-ND/1095456
eBay:

Picture:
I found the version with a collet (that's HR10-7J-4S(73), notice no A) on them on eBay once for under $10 shipped, just one however. I had hoped that the collet would make it easier to get a secure mechanical connection for strain relief as I don't have the official crimping tool (nor have I been able to find it) but it wasn't any better actually.
I'd love these to be cheaper for making modular cables and extension cables (hint Dan) I think that would neater than snuff and not near a messy. I'm working towards getting a few to do that actually. They are a pain to find on eBay, best way is to leave off that (73) and you may get a hit or two of the actual 4 pin followed by a confusing array of 6, 10 and more pin versions.
Hope that helps, hit us up on the cable making thread sometime: http://www.head-fi.org/t/676402/diy-cable-questions-and-comments-thread
Damnit, somehow I just bought 3 of those from that eBay sell, I have no idea how that happened, and that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I just hope I have enough of the male version, need 5 (extension cable, 4 pin XLR, 1/8" TRS, 1/4" TRS, 2.5mm TRRS), looks like I'll be ordering some more from Dan.

OK, Freaky! I was listening to Dan's playlist, 16mm Summer Day by OTT tidal.com/track/49998277. We are getting some rain and thundershowers up here in NorCal. A thunderclap struck that had me pull the headphones off and listen, thinking it was the start of the thunderstorm. It wasn't, it was in the song. Then it happened again.... Extremely realistic, and very impressive.

Thanks for mentioning stuff on bandcamp guys. It's the best site, from the perspective of both a consumer and an artist. I'll offer this musical example, which I look forward to hearing on the Ether Cs I just ordered:
As noted, I really enjoy he lunatics at Shpongle, OTT and Younger Brother, and there's also an absolutely amazing label called Ultimae, and everything they publish I've enjoyed. Matt mentioned Connect.ohm, but there's also:
AES Dana (watch out, there's a funky gaelic heavy-metal group of the same name)
Solar Fields
H.U.V.A. Network
Opus
Sync24
Carbon Based Lifeforms
Etc.
I'm also into minimalist, I really like Steve Bug, Booka Shade, etc. There's tons more, in addition to my ETHER C Tidal list, I may do an electronic one, though a few of the artists I like aren't on Tidal.

And what the hell, I'll offer one of my own releases for reference too, as it should be a nice electronic imaging test for the Cs:

I can’t wait to deep dive the Ether Cs for myself. I wonder how consistent their frequency responses are from pair to pair? I see they come with general measurements demonstrating the relative effect of the different pad arrangements, which is absolutely awesome. Can I assume that my pair will have almost identical peaks and valleys?

Listening to Solar Fields' amazing production on Blue Moon Station never ceases to amaze me.
Guys, if you are into ambient like Solar Fields, you absolutely must listen to Steve Lawson (Finger Painting Sessions) and Janet Feder (This Close).

Cool, look forward to hearing your tunes this weekend! A few other artists are using ETHERs now, including Bluetech.

Totally agree, and Ultimae releases albums in 24bit. I have a couple of AES Dana albums in 24 bit and they are orgasmic. A great place to start is right here; this was my introduction to this amazing dood:

I would also strongly recommend Seb Taylor, either as a solo artist under this name or with his collective Kaya Project. Fantastic stuff.

I LOVE Kaya Project. I'll have to look up his solo stuff, thanks!

Is there anywhere in London, UK, where I can hear these? I tried last time I was in town but no-one had them.

Dunno about London but Mark from Electromod is in High Wycombe which isn't that far from London, I think he's the UK Mr. Speakers distributor:

He is indeed, and a thoroughly decent gentleman.
Get in touch and he'll make sure that you get an opportunity to audition the headphones.
