Sweet Jesus. I ordered it at 2 p.m. EST. It was assembled March 5 & its certficate was dated yesterday (yesterday!?). And it's here in my hot little hands today. The hype's real. These are well-made cans.

edit -- the stock cable's a bit shorter that I expected (when compared to the one sold by Senheisser for their HD650). If one's considering this set, you might want to get an extension cord (with the appropriate adaptors).

Last post for awhile... Ether C flow... an excellent headphone. My solid state headphone amplifiers seem to give me a more pleasing experience than my tube-amps. If they're driven by amps like the Atom, Element, Magni, Asgard, or an offering from Massdrop (Drop), I think users will be satisfied with the result. I'm being reminded of that comment used (a lot on) on these newsgroups -- different headphones for different music types and amplifiers... aaaaand there's really no such thing as 'the perfect headphone'.

Ia this how the 1.1 update is? Is this how the white felt is supposed to be sitting? On top of the sticker I put down?

Managed to snap a mint Ether C (Not the flow) that was used as a demo model from headfoneshop here in Toronto.

I suspect it's probably not the 1.1, but is there a way to get the 1.1 pads in this day and age?

*Edit it's the 1.1*

Is there a way to take the ear pads off without damaging them? I want to swap with other pads I have but according to their website I will likely damage the pads if I try to remove.

You can take them off and on without issues. The Aeon models are the ones with glued pads that get damaged.
Cheers, It was pretty straightforward. Going to try ZMF leather perforated tonight.
