Do you guys have any suggestions on how to free a stuck pin? Three of the four pins came out easily but I've been whacking this last one with a hammer for half an hour with no luck.
Place the pin with the yoke's inside hugging your worktable edge. Now go to town on the yoke. Two or three big hits should do it.

Hey there guys. I'm new here and I just bought a used pair of 1060s for $106 and after hours of research and thread surfing I am buying and nodding these with parts from drschnick and I need help. I gotta get a cable but I want to make my high end one that looks cool because I can't afford $65-150 for a cable. How would I go about this. I just need help picking out wire and connectors. I am a experienced user with soldering and electronics. Also would like to know if buying the nautilus grille, with the baffled fazor and then some fine tune material and dynamay is what I need.

For custom cables, most people get an XLR cable and braid the cores and sleeve them with the fabric from paracord. As far as connectors, 2.5mm mono plugs like these (https://www.amazon.com/CESS-2-5mm-Solder-Audio-Connector/dp/B01G0NEUMY/) for plugging into the headphones if it is a V2. if it is a V1 then you need MMCX connectors like these (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33024635522.html). As far as the other end we would need to know if you want balanced XLR or 3.5mm or 2.5mm balanced.

I've never done the dynamat, but I did do fazors and fuzors. Pads and changing/removing the foam grill side are the biggest differences as far as mods are concerned in my opinion. Fuzors helps tame the transience and peaks in the highs. Fazors help the transience in the FR as well.

I also just got accepted to buy a pair of m560 in mint condition for $75. Is that a good deal? And what pads and mods can I do for those?

I would recommend ZMFs pads. Which pad depends on your preferred sound signature. But the ZMF pads will add comfort and soundstage regardless of what pad you choose. Brainwavz round pads are a good budget alternative. A lot of people go with the Sony MDR-XB500 pads, but I feel these muddy up the sound. IDK about other mods.

Does anyone know if the M560 can be run balanced with a cable like the following?

US $15.30 15%OFF | Audiocrast 2.5mm 8core Silver Plated Headphone Upgrade Cable for HE1000 HE400S HE560 Oppo PM-1 PM-2
https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/oyuccRwC

The cable has an option for 3.5mm to 2.5mm, which I hope corresponds to dual 3.5mm connectors to a single 2.5mm. How many poles should the dual 3.5mm ends have? This cable shows TR ends in the photos, but the stock 3.5mm cable is TRS.

I thought M560 had 2,5mm monos on the cups like M1060 -series? And the cable manufacturer are defitinely referring to 2,5mm mono for headphones and 3,5mm single ended. If the M560 had same 2,5mm mono on the earcups, then 2,5mm to 2,5mm would be the cable to get for 2,5mm balanced on your DAC/AMP.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, my M560 definitely has 3.5mm on the earcups.

I realized today that I had never posted up the last headband mod I did on my M1060. I originally modded an Audeze headband using some L brackets (click HERE for how), but the L brackets ended up being the weakest point and would bend and the screws on the yokes would loosen quite often. After that, I drilled the cups to accept THIS Audeze Yoke Replacement Kit, and THIS is what they looked like using those Audeze yokes. But one day I saw that Adorama had the HE-560 headband on sale for only $9.99! So now I am using that headband screwed into the mounts I had drilled and inserted from the Audeze Yoke kit.

I got the headband ordered to send in Finland, that's a steal even to overseas. Hopefully it will be sent soon.

It's decent. The black vinyl looks like a electrical tape tho. It's much better headband in looks, comfort and not being in a knot if you don't take them off properly.

It's beautiful, where did you get the headband?

Whole headband. I got it for 10 bucks plus 57 bucks to ship in Finland. It was cheap still!
