Found a post in the DIY cable thread that had some useful links:

His looks very nice indeed, I'll probably try making something similar in the near future, I'll post pics when I do.

what's the best solution for shortening the cord so it can be carried around in your pocket?

the cable turtle?
Cable Turtle Organizer, Electrical Cable Cord and Wire Management

Cable Turtles never worked too well for me. Too bulky and pendulous. I've much preferred the Velcro cable tie solution -- simple and light:

I don't know which part of the world you're located in, but most any hardware or electronics store should carry them. Or you can do the internet thing and shop at Amazon, etc....

How do you tie the cable up? I found circling it around my hand and putting a tie on either side of the circle works best.

any other suggestions?

I got my headphones today. They took 2 days(!) to get from Florida to New Jersey
smily_headphones1.gif

I've been using them for the past few hours. I like them a lot, I can tell they're better than my RP-21's. I don't really know all the technical terms and all that. They do clamp a fair amount but it doesn't bother me too much, especially considering I can stretch them out.

Where did you buy them from? And what are you using as a source?

Would it work out of an ipod?

Thanks,

Izzy
