Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

Deepsnow vs snowcat?
I don’t have either with me at work, but both are great cables for their price range and two of my favourite NiceHCKs. From memory, DeepSnow has a slightly thicker sound and SnowCat is more of a U (emphasised bass, small treble lift). For any NiceHCK cable you should probably wait for the AE anniversary sale at the end of the month as they usually overcharge between sales.

Can anyone recommend a cheap, soft-feeling, warm cable? Will be used with the Tansio Mirai X’s and 3.5mm connector on a Khadas Tea.

I have an XINHS cable and Purplese, both both feel a little rougher than I’d like and the tops of my ears feel a little irritated after a while.

the tops of my ears feel a little irritated after a while.
For this reason i've switched to thinner and lighter cables that have no ear hooks. Currently using 2 Nobunaga Labs Iris cables and a OE Audio 2DualCDC on my IEMs.

Tripowin Mirage came in.. really nice. I’m not one to hear a difference of sound in cables but this seems like a really nice budget pick. It’s a metallic dark brown, 4 cores, really thin and sleek. The plug is small, not bulky at all. Really light, I think this one may be my daily but a bit worried about how tight/loose the 2 pin was, I need to keep an eye on that but it could just be my Tea 2. 20 dollars or so depending on your store front. I like this one quite a bit more than the Zonie I think.

I second this, it's a great choice for a copper cable that doesn't break the bank and with a better material quality than NiceHCK cables at the same price. Sounds great with the Timeless.

Thanks for the Hakugei recommendations. I really like their style. I bought one of them today and the rep was very helpful in letting me customize it.

This is the base, but I wanted a 2.5mm balanced right-angle connector with a 65cm cable. Those were free customizations, but I also upgraded to a nicer looking plug/splitter/mmcx style to raise the price by about half.

It finally came. I really love the feel of this cable, and the accessories are the shiny :)

Cross-post from mid-priced IEM cables thread:
Anyone aware of a cable that sounds like Effect Audio Code 24 (but obviously cost less)?
I got a recommendation from a friend, who says synergy is amazing between Penon Quattro and Code 24...

Code 24 is basically Code23 but made for IEMs and plated in silver to bring out even more details. The reason why Code24 costs the way they do is because of some uber secret geometry stuff EA did for these cables. Code23 is more like a beta cable but it was so good they had to release it. A year later they came up with the Code24c which now has some flexability and no longer stand by themselves like the Code23. This upgrade in ergonomics and the addition of silver plating for the Code24 is what cost the extra bucks unfortunately. I would say if you want to get a cheaper Code24. That would be the 8 wire cadmus. Which the Cadmus 8w does not have the same geometry used for the Code24 it will give you roughly a similar tonal character for the Quattro similar stage enhancement and dynmaics but where the difference will be is in how the Quattro will have a lesser holographic layering of the sound vs the Code24 if I was a guessing man. I no longer have the prototype I tried briefly with my IEMs at the time but from what I remember that is what makes these Code cables sound so good on IEMs.

Effect Audio knows they are onto something with that proprietary geometry of their Code cables and that unfortunately ends up costing folks the money they are charging for them.

PSA: 2 pretty sweet looking mystery bag deals for 7N cables from NiceHCK. Fairly sure from the description that they are Sakura and 7NBEE. The cables have been around some time so there are impressions elsewhere on the interwebs if one cares to look.

Pink cable
https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006713552834.html
Code: 328PINK
Starting from $16.99

Gold cable
https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006713717535.html
Code: 328GOLD
Starting from $22.99

I’ve nothing to do with them, apart from being really pleased with the GoldCrown from the deal I posted about last time, so am taking a punt on these as well.
