I think I will finally say goodbye to my mint condition Lotoo Paw Gold Touch. Upgrade fever has hit and I want to try the Fiio R9. I always seem to be using my NW-WM1Z anyway.

What? How can ANY FiiO be an upgrade to a LoToo PAW Touch? Gotta read about the R9…

It's supposed to be powerful for high impedance headphones, but I am already having second thoughts.

FiiO tend to be good on paper, but sound rather dry and lacking life in my experience. Even their M17 felt oddly lifeless. If I was you, I'd invest the money in a decent portable amp and stack it with the Lotoo for high impedance headphones.

I just pulled the classified ad. I just tinkered with PMEQ and solved my Meze 109 Pro issue. I am not sure what got into me. I do listen to my NW-WM1Z a bunch because the Sony chip does something magical to the mids, but LPGT is a musical beast with amazing resolution and good power. I am hoping that a good all in one will come out.

That's a good plan. I thought about a Questyle QPM for its optical out to an amplifier. I like 4.4.4mm balanced. Any suggestions?

I would highly recommend Mass Kobo 428/475 for 4.4mm balanced connection, which is now fairly easy to get in the US thanks to MusicTeck. Otherwise, I'd recommend the lesser known amps from Utsusemi-Works, such as their Sound Tiger series. Extremely capable and well-tuned amps that have a fantastic synergy with Lotoo (the designer is a big fan of Lotoo and uses them to tune the amps. Lighter and more portable than Mass Kobo (and also notably cheaper) though still packs a tremendous punch. No prob to drive HD800s or full size planars.

I also realised the error of my ways in listing my LPGT Ti recently and took it back down! Any message I received while it was listed I was genuinely hoping each time that the sale wouldn’t go ahead 😂
I adjusted the PMEQ and now the world is good. I think my ears changed.

I am enjoying my Meze 109 Pro headphones in the sunshine with my Lotoo Paw Gold Touch. I just turned on XRC. WOW!!! It doesn't get any better than this. Glenlivet 12 on the rocks.20240218_134023.jpg20240218_133603.jpg20240218_132327.jpg

Has anyone on here paired their Lotoo Paw Gold Touch with Sennheiser HD660S2?
