They sounded wonderful in person at the SF Bay Area meet. Best closed headphones I've had the pleasure of hearing. They've got that LFF signature neutrality but skew over to a little musical and I loved them. Great isolation and the sense of openness was rocking.  I only had a short listen but when I got home and listened to my other headphones, I had to order them.

While not as immediate as your decision to enter an order, the desire to purchase these headphones simmered for a few days before finally contacting LFF to purchase a set of Enigmas as well.  Payment submitted, and eagerly awaiting a pair of the sugi finish.

To those who commented about the looks of the Enigmas, the finish is much nicer in person.  The wine finish compares favorably with the finishes on the LCD-XC's or my ATH-W3000ANV's with a nice warm color, while the sugi finish is just really different and organic looking.  The picture of the sugi finish headphone didn't come out as good as I'd hoped but it's a nice matte black with a rough texture.  The metal hardware is a bit shinier than I'd like, but its looks compare favorably to some of the Hifiman or Audeze offerings in my opinion.

I doubt it will be to long before we begin to see some impressions on here. MuppetFace is getting a review pair as well as Wolf and eventually me too.

I recently purchased a pair of Paradox from Luis through Paradox-Audio online. When it came time for Luis to ship me the 'phones however, we realized that we are only like 20 minutes away from each other. So after chatting, I wound up with the opportunity to meet him and pick up my Paradox at a local Starbucks. To my surprise I was also afforded a sneak peak at the Enigma, although at the time Luis wasn't giving away any specific details, and politely requested that I keep my mouth shut (haha). I'm glad I now have the go ahead to interject my feedback here at Head-Fi.

The pair I got to preview was a prototype, but the sound was finished; it only had a couple minor unresolved aesthetic flaws. Despite these, the Enigma was still a very nice looking headphone. The headphones are fairly large, and excedingly classy looking. The sound was phenominal. He showed be some jazz tracks, and the vocals and stand-up bass sounded like it was being played live, right next to me in the Torrance Starbucks. These headphones sounded superb with everything I listened to, but they really excelled with natural, acoustic instruments.

That is all I'll say though, since I only had the opportunity to listen for maybe an hour, in a noisy cafe environment. But I would encourage anyone that truly appreciates acoustic styles to check these things out, as they really are awesome ;)

Woohoo! Got mine ordered. Hoping it will be at least as good as a 15/775 MP...

That brings back memories of my teleporting Necromance in Diablo 2.

I got to hear them back to back with the LCD-XC and Alpha Dogs, and the Enigmas were the only one to get the mids spot-on, in that they didn't have that "cupped" sound typical of closed-back headphones.

Compared to the Paradox Slants, the Enigmas are tuned a tad more musical (touch more bass, notably), but definitely tuned by the same ear in that they are neutral-ish. LFF's "house sound" is flat. The Slants have a bit wider soundstage, while the Enigmas isolated outside noise better. As with all of LFF's headphones, they were detailed without ever being harsh -- no troublesome peaks in the treble whatsoever.

Agreed with the above points. The mids sound more "right" to me than the XC or AD. Yes, compared to the Slants, they do have a touch more bass and a slightly narrower but more distant stage (less upfront - we sit further back.) Yup, no troublesome peaks or treble weirdness.

I forgot to take pictures, but the headphone and especially cups are absolutely beautiful. (The pix do not do it justice.) As for 3D printing? Seriously? *uck that s**t.

AP requires way more strength; I'll need 60 pgems.

Enigma gives you tons of str already. You can just glitch it on with str charms, even if you don't have enough existing str.
