Call me crazy, but am I the only one that thinks these things look ugly?

Yes you are, now go order yourself a nice fashionista looking pair of Fostex TH900's

Thanks for taking some pictures. Looks really nice. I wonder if it will be even cheaper if Luis uses 3D printing like his Alpha Dog.

LFF / Luis isn't the creator of the Alpha Dog. : )

But yeah, knowing LFF, he wouldn't want to use 3D printing because he wants to keep everything done entirely by hand. People have suggested ways of stepping up production in the past, but he's rejected them. It's slower and drives him crazy sometimes, but he feels it gives him more control over the finished product. Plus he's invested a lot of time into tuning these with wood cups, and I'm guessing that moving to a different material would require him starting from scratch more or less.

In case anyone is interested, there were some pics of the Suji finish cups posted in the Bay Area meet thread here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/706128/official-2014-bay-area-meet-sunday-feb-16th-2014-impressions-thread/15#post_10281715

I think they look A-Ok a bit HUGE but come on!! :)
The metal adjusters actually remind me of my Moonlight Studio headphones: http://www.head-fi.org/products/s-heph-sl01-spider-moonlight-studio-monitor-headphones-silver/reviews/9400
Not the same but similar looking.... (and yes, those Spiders are HUGE as well... hopefully the Enigma's will sound 20 times better!!)

In aerospace design, they say "if it looks right, it'll fly right." I tend to think the opposite is true of headphones: most of my favorites, such as AKGs, aren't exactly lookers.

I think this is ugly, so it will probably sound quite good.

The important question is how amp friendly is it? Do i need a good amp for it? I am a portable head fi and if I can plug it into something like hm901 or the c4 i am more than happy.

LFF tunes all of his headphones with an O2 and Cavalli amp around.
