There's a 2nd hand Trio in e-earphone.jp right now in their Nagoya branch (http://www.e-earphone.jp/shop/shopdetail.html?brandcode=000000101067&search=Trio&sort=recommend) but it looks like this Trio has been to war and back!

Interesting idea, though questionable in terms of durability.

Oh and so far really enjoying my Kumitate Trio.  Not only am I loving the sound, but they are beautiful, a work of art!  But I am in search of a TOTL dap that can stream Tidal.  SQ is most important.  If anyone can recommend one, it would be appreciated =)

The Ak 380 and AK 70 can now stream tidal. The 380 is really amazing, but if you already have a mojo the ak70 works great with it.

How about the AK120ii?  It is supposed to get Tidal (at some point).  How is the SQ of this, if you know?  I see it available used around $700-$900.  Anyone know how it compares to some newer daps (SQ wise) and is it worth it?

Best to ask from the AK forum as this is off topic but nonetheless the 120ii is a great DAP but the 320 has a better vocal separation, more forward IMO.

That series and the AK 240 will get tidal soon. As of now, just the AK70 and AK300 series have Tidal. If you are looking at that price point, I really suggest the AK70. I love the compact size and how it pairs perfectly with Mojo. I love it as a standalone player too. I have the AK 70 and 380cu, and there are a lot of times I'll reach for the 70 due to the size and still great sound.

Some exciting news from kumitate lab for this coming weekend (fujiya 2016 autumn headphone festival)

1. Look like they finally revealed that the dual dynamic driver in KL-REF is supplied by FOSTEX. (Hence they will be providing a design option to include the "powered by FOSTEX" on the faceplate)

2. For TRIO universal holders, removable custom ear sleeve for TRIO has been announced. It will be equipped with a special filter and horn shape canal to capture the maximum potential of TRIO. More details to follow after the event.

3. AK240SS & TRIO-SS with beautiful artistic sculpture will be available for exhibition at the kumitate lab booth this weekend (but not for sale)

4. Last but not least, there will be new CIEM product offering, which will be available for demo at the kumitate lab booth. Price and product name is yet to be determined, but it is scheduled for release in late November.

Super nice. I heard somewhere that Ryosuke-san had been using DDs from Brainwavz IEMs in his earlier stages. Incredible how they developed over this short time.
