Koss Portapro Thread

Are the Porta Pros still the best of its kind? As in, essentially 80s-looking headphones, which actually sound great and are well built.

Many years ago I bought one of those, and now for stylistic reasons I'm looking to buy the Drop.com (Massdrop) all-black version. Unless something better was released in the mean time, whether in terms of old-school looks and/or sound. Thanks.

Yeah, if anything has stood the test of time, it’s the Koss porto pro.

I know it's not fair to judge them both not in their stock forms, but I prefer the KSC75 with a headband over the Porta Pros with Yaxi Pads.

He's telling the truth but just buy them both. They're both audio gods!

PS: I just ordered the KOSS KTXPro1!

KOSS KTXPro1 are better than PortaPro, KSCs, KPH30i imho you're in for a treat.

On the down side, due to dollar store build quality the headband squeaks louder than stripper's bed.

But is the KTXPRO1 better than the KPH40?

I was told to put the KTXPRO1 on the KSC75 earclips.

Double P's on them? Lol. Does it make them look like breasts?

Which pads though?
Took off stock foamies from PortaPro (since they're using Yaxis) and sleeved them on top of KTXPRO1 stockies.

Sadly that's doesn't increase their sexiness.

It makes sense though right... you're sticking two sets of stock foams on a headphone meant for one?

Or do you have stock foams under yaxis on the KTXPro1? That seems like a bad idea unless the yaxis had donut foams.
