I think that I might have lost my fxt 90 what do you think would be a nice upgrade which would not be significantly costlier?

Reading some of the previous comments makes me feel like getting the jvc again lol.

Well my pair has arrived.  I'm letting them burn in with some music while at work today.  I'll try some test tracks tonight.

Well I have to say these are a fussy fit for me.  I rolled quite a few tips before getting a good seal.  Mine have driver flex also, but it shouldn't be too big of a problem.  Now I just need to get some more burn in time on them.

I found that driver flex was minimized with foam eartips or putting foam cores in the silicone tips.  This also helped the seal and improved bass and soundstage, and detail. I personally don't like foam tips with these but foamed silicon was perfect.  Despite shallow depth I still got an excellent seal this way.  I prefer the TDK BA 200, but I really enjoyed the FXT 90's and my son loves them. I built my tips with V moda bliss silicones and Earplug Foam hole punched and cut down expanded them with a bic ball point pen with the end plug pulled out that way
i could jam the shaft of the V moda in the end of the barrel and slide the expanded hole punch plug right off and jam them onto the nozzles.
 
Try it I think you will be pleased!

Thanks for the suggestion.  I know I have to do something about the flexing.  Just sounds crappy while inserting them.  There will be more experimenting with regards to this.

So someone sat on my fxt90s today and cracked the ear tube piece off...super upset...I see these now go for $100 on amazon. What is a slight upgrade to these since I need new iems?
