Folks, I'd like to sign up Simon, a friend of mine wishing to bring his DVD-A player Panasonic DVD-RA82, however...I'm not sure if  non head-fi members are allowed. BTW, offering lift for 2 people all the way from Poznan, Poland to Berlin.

Your friend is welcome to join us, I'll update the first post. Will he be bringing any headphones too?

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

As of now, the list of participants is closed.

Sorry, but we can't host any more people.

Once again, we urge those on the signed-up list who can't attend for whatever reason to let us know asap. We still have a few interested who would love to fill their slots.

Looking forward to a great meet and a double-pantsload of equipment to try!

Hi Sepinho - I know that Affex and I will not be bringing any equipment which requires any space. I will bring only portable gear - so if that can give space for another local who might bring some desktop gear it could be an option?

Also based on experience from our Danish meets  we always have 10% of the people signing up never show up at the meet. So we always make it overbooked and it works out in the end anyway. Just a few thoughts you might consider letting more people on the list

We had originally planned with 28 people, allowing for a small number of people who don't show up. But the experience with the local crowd is that they tend to stand by their commitments. It'll be full anyway.

Anyway, more updates soon as far as organization is concerned. Stay tuned.

I see your point, but I visited the rooms yesterday and now I am convinced, that even with 20 people it will be quite packed. So we decided to stop the enlisting at 25 so if a few people stay away we will be close to the 20. It's a lot of equipment anyway, so don't mind. :)

Anyway 20-25 people is the perfect size for a great meet. With too many people it gets noisy and confusing and you never get to listen to all the gear anyway.
I am looking forward to be there

While planning the trip I found out the train connection is good, but I have to take a night train. The wise option for me is to go to Berlin to arrive there at Hauptbahnhoff around 11 PM on the tenth and to find a place to crash. I am still checking out the options I have.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT UPDATE:

The meet itself will not be held at Hifi im Hinterhof's store at Großbeerenstr. 65/66, but at some of their dedicated listening rooms, which are literally right across the street.

The proper address for the meet is:

Großbeerenstr. 25 (Google Maps link)

We'll have signs up both at both the store and the listening rooms to safely guide you there. You're of course welcome to check out the amazing store, but the guys are pretty busy on Saturdays and would appreciate it if they didn't have to individually escort 25 headphone nerds to their meeting! :)
