It's unfair to judge electronica by bass response, the SA-5000 and CK10 have weak bass response and are/were valued highly as electronica cans.

You can really see the lineage between the SA-5000 and the fabled Qualia just
on aesthetics. I imagine they were quite the comfortable pair.

Yup, SA-5000 was called the "baby Qualia" a few times, it came out after the Qualia I believe.
 
I enjoyed them quite a lot while it lasted, enjoyed the Stax a little less after that, and I'm enjoying my Audio Technicas more than both yup.

Considering Ultrasone Pro 900, Denon D7000 and Audeze LCD-2 are all superior to those cans you mentioned, those are the true revered bass emphasized headphones. It's just a different class altogether.
 
And yes, the Pro 900 are indeed a special flavor, and while it might not work for some, it most certainly performs admirably for me.

If someone thought "the treble is just not there", and taking my treble-loving tastes into account, I don't think the PRO 900 is for me.
