The easy fix would be to extract the payload.bin from the latest update using a payload dumper and flashing things manually from fastboot

Can you ask your software people if they can can make when you do a library update the genre will show up with numbers first ,like 60's top 100 numbers work fine if a word is first like top 100 kraut rock. This works fine with M6 pro M6 pro 2021 M6 ultra also M5 ultra seems like it would work with M8t also

Enjoying the M8T with the Nur Harmonia, from a new Italian company. Planar. Very lovely listen. On loan from @Uncle Wilson of Jaben SG who will have unveil it at Can Jam SG next week. I will be away. Hence, the early sneak preview.

I can’t read…at work. I listen to youtube reviews. Though twister6 was an impressive review.
That as usual is a great review by @twister6
His findings are similar to what I find with the M8T. I think there is a clear difference between the tube/non tube modeand it does feel like you have two different DAPs at your disposal
Still on my factory M8T software — I decided not to upgrade out of fear of losing that seductive sound.
But the M8T now has real competition with the R8ii’s latest update. Until now, my rotation was 80% M8T and barely 20% R8ii — but that’s changed. With the latest HiBy software upgrade on the R8ii and HF Onkyo DSP activated, the R8ii suddenly delivers a sound that’s very clean, spatial, and vividly real — the timbre, the sensation, it’s unsettlingly good. I can literally see the music in my head. I can’t even explain why the difference is so massive.
That magic in the M8T — the timbre that swells with emotion, that sweet, effortless swagger — is now fully alive, in its own unique way, in the R8ii, using the exact same HF settings on both.
The M8T remains my go-to when I want that silky, soft, seductive musicality — and I don’t see that ever changing. But now, when I want to be absolutely floored, I reach for the R8ii. These are, without question, my endgame DAPs.

@Shanling Your software engineers really need to be held to some degree of rigor. I cannot imagine any self respecting tech company that would allow its engineers to roll into production something that has not been tested!

Hi everyody. i need help to manage eddict player issue. Where i could turn on Shanling remote or shanling connect option at M8T? I am not able to connect my iphone 15 with m8t. Help please). I must say it is the one and only issue related to m8t)
Go to Shanling Music player - Synclink -Enable Player Side.
