For all M8T users, please do not update to Firmware V1.25!

If you already updated, DO NOT do factory reset, as it might cause issues with the system booting.

If you already updated to firmware V1.25, please do manual downgrade to older firmware V1.13, available at https://en.shanling.com/article-M8Tv113.html

People, I am on the verge of buying a new DAP. Considering M8T, DX340 and HiBy R8ii. Did anyone owned these and compared them? If so, how do these fare against each and which one ended up as better overall? TIA.

I haven't tested it yet, but it should work the same as on other Android device.
Please check in Settings - Network - Internet - Network preferences - "Notify for public network", if it's turned on.

Are you trying to connect to some network in public place or like closed office system?

V1.25 BootLoop FIX

Please if any users have M8T stuck in the bootloop on Firmware V1.25, please reach out to us over PM.
We have possible steps for fixing this directly on the unit and looking for some people to test it.

Please check in Settings - Network - Internet - Network preferences - "Notify for public network", if it's turned on.

@Shanling It is turned on. It connected to the public network. But this network will bring up a log in page where you can log in by OTP after you have submitted your mobile number. But this page does not come on for the M8T, even after upgrading the FW. Whereas when i use the iPhone or android phone, the pop up comes up as soon as you connect to the network.

Perhaps your engineers should test this out themselves so they are able to advise if it really works.
