Here's a little reading material for those waiting to receive their M8T.

M8T Quick Start Guide
Thanks. Seems quite standard stuff for their DAPs. I think there will be a nice sense of familiarity for current owners. :)

I'm in UK and just being inpatient, waiting for the player to become available here and therefore tempted to buy it too from the official Shanling website 😀
Control your urges and wait, it shouldn’t be long.
This is also better for warranty purposes as you wouldn’t have to ship your device back to China which is a hassle with customs.

Hello.
Are there any global sound adjustments possible?
E.g. global EQ, or global PEQ?
I only use streaming services like Apple Music and Quboz and need the possibility for adjusting the sound to different headphones.

Thanks.

I don't want to answer for @Shanling, but other DAPs in their line up usually have EQ built into their music player, so it wouldn't be global. You would have to use an app like Wavelet for global EQ. There might be other Android apps that provide global EQ / PEQ support, eh, SoundID from Sonarworks comes to mind.

In fact I found the M9+ a bit too punchy.
Yeah... the M8 would suit you well. I have had Shanling's flagships since the M8. I will say that I tend to use the slower filters. The only one I could not really relate to was the M9. It is good but just did not speak to me. :)

well It is part of having gear early, isn't it @dragolds :)

I'm in Latvia, and indeed it is 21%. Going through customs paperwork today and should have it later today or tomorrow.

Enjoying some tube magic.

First Impressions.
It is the most powerful DAP I’ve tested. The bass is punchy without being bloated and the sound is pretty balanced. A little warmer with the tubes.

Let me burn it in to get a true impression, but so far the word is astounded. Last tube dap I had was the sp2000t and was nowhere close.

Gorgeous! Do you hear any noise or interference using tubes with your Solaris?
