FYI, I started a Luna impressions and discussion thread in the IEM section here - hope that helps!
I bet you used more computing power than your basic calculator to get it done as well. While the link is generally correct it's not as relatable to a driver the diameter of an in ear. Break up modes are beyond the audible range. The advantage here is that you can have something light enough to use pistonically over a the full bandwidth with enough control, large enough to maintain a shorter, more linear excursion. There's so much more that goes into getting a driver right than just the diaphragm but it's an awesome starting point. I think because of the lack of audio band breakup modes and the extremely high resonance frequency, the stiffest lightest diaphragm works better here than in any other types of (larger) drivers where resonances can be notable.
I don't like the idea of driver flex to help it's excursion characteristics. Flex is energy lost or transformed into another undesirable form. I doubt the Luna exhibits much if any.
There may be production issues when everybody returns to work too due to the coronavirus.
Wishing everybody at Dunu a healthy and happy new year.

Happy lunar new year to everyone! It has been more trying this year with the outbreak, but we are remaining optimistic, while simultaneously being vigilant and staying safe.
We arranged for additional personal protective equipment to be sent to the factory, and made a donation to the public health effort in Hubei Province. It's not much, but we're doing what we can.
Additionally, we will be monitoring what the provincial government in Guangdong states regarding the date for returning to work. For example, Shanghai has already extended the holiday period to 2/10, but thus far, there has not been any further adjustment for Guangdong Province.
If there are delays to when our factory can resume operation, we will be sure to let everyone know.

Ah, so your LuNa was made for and tuned with, literally by using the Cayin N8 BB. Good to know .
I hope everyone in your team will be just fine with the outbreak. The scariest thing about the virus is that it can transmit and be contagious even before showing symptoms. Stay safe, and be well

While LUNA is actually fairly easy to drive, in terms of control, a device with good current output is recommended.
@starck86 when referring to the N6ii you probably should mention the audio motherboard you are using. Unless the Luna sounds equally good with all of them.
Luna should not have Audio 64's lid, so it should not be the same.
Any chance some representative tried out the Luna on a YuLinMe M400 dac/amp?

I think he means Luna doesn't have any impedance negating tech. Like 64's LID or customart's FIBAE tech.Don't quite follow --- care to elaborate on the context of this statement?
So, we have some not so good news. In an effort to contain the novel coronavirus outbreak, Guangdong Province has followed suit and extended the CNY holiday period to 2/10. Our factory will have to resume operations on 2/10.
Currently, there are only three LUNA units outside of China: a prototype in California, a test unit at Head-Fi HQ, and the one @starck86 purchased.
We have 2 listening units sent to Taipei before the CNY break that we will bring to NYC with us, but ZERO units at the factory. Our engineer Andy, had to take a janky plastic mess of a prototype back home.
...
I will compare next week at CanJam NYC! I've always wanted to try the Andromeda Gold anyways, so I'm curious as well : )Anyone here got to compare them to Campfire Audio's Andromeda Gold?

Thanks!
Do we know whether they'll have them since they're out of stock?
Or CA always keep one or two ltd editions to tease the crowd ?
