Interesting... I am a bit flummoxed...
I still have one experiment to try - the stock Zenith cable on a different IEM... I don’t expect any surprises since third party cable worked on the Zenith with no polarity issues, but have to try...
No more bouncy cable! Audiohive cable came in today. I went with the NCU22, which looked fairly similar to the Effect Audio Ares II+. Took about 3 weeks from the day I ordered to receive. It does look very high quality and came with a nice bag.
Like others mentioned, I ran a few tests on YouTube and did find that I had to switch the right connector for the headphones to correct the out-of-phase issue.
I do need to figure out better tips though. Comply tips are comfortable, but they seem to always fall out of my ears.
I have the exact same issue, but with my EA Ares II. Standard cables are fine, so reversed the right connector and all is well.
i got my Zenith today , they sound indeed very good !
for me Symbio W tips worked best with these iems. its the first iem where these fit almost comfy
paired with the Cowon PL you get a very detailed but also warm sound ( at the moment with copper filter ) out of it.
The bass impact is better than i had expected.

Bass impact is quick and snappy....they are a very aggressive IEM and very forward facing with their signature. I stayed with the black filter and found the Final Audio E tips tamed the Z1.i got my Zenith today , they sound indeed very good !

maybe we share the same taste of iems / sources
switched back to black , its more aggressive yes and not as dark as the copper. maybe i stay with this too

IMR iems respond well to tubes. From my Taga amp they sound beautiful. I also tried them on the Cayin N8 at a Jam - wow! So much detail... almost too much of a good thing, the ambiance threatens to engulf the music itself.

Card has been charged, the Aten should be underway soon. Hopeful emphasis on the "soon".
Mine too. I'm not even sure what I'm going to use them for being fully open but I want to keep supporting Bob in his endeavours.

I'm actually happy with fully open, I can still use the Zenith closed if I need. I'm very curious to spot the differences between the two. According to Bob, "Shipping is approximately the end of June".
