IMR - R1 Thread

I listen to a very mixed bag of music. Listening to A Fine Frenzy right now

I mainly use blue and pink filters and the Zenith sounds great. I still have problems with fit, need to buy some Final Audio and Symbio tips.

Hope you enjoy the R2. Unfortunately I had to cancel my pre order.

I was happy with them open and never bothered to try them closed I just wanted to listen to my music not try to listen for differences. I like the blue, pink and orange filters. The copper gave me a headache.

Honestly, just give it a try and see if you hear a difference.
Personally:
closed -> more sub-bass
opened -> bigger sound stage
Its really a small difference tho and barely noticeable. So if you hear no difference go with closed for less sound leak imo.

• Black - Powerful impactful bass, rich mids and powerful highs
• Pink - Slightly decreased bass from the black filter with the same mids and highs, very neutral sound
• Copper - Maximum bass, lush mids and slightly recessed highs
• Orange - Balanced bass and mids with rolled off highs compared to black
• Blue - Flat across the range. Light and airy sound

So yea, Copper ones really go over the top with bass. Feels overwhelming and slightly muddy compared to the other filters.

Do the filter colors on the R1 Zenith roughly translate to the same colors for the R1? That is, does Blue or Pink or Copper on R1 approximately do the same on the Zenith (even if the actual sound is different)?

That's hard to tell, since the R2 will have a different filter system and will include 5 acoustic audio nozzles + 5 acoustic dampers.
But i am sure that some of the 25 possible combinations will resemble the sound signature of the Zenith's filters.
