Hey ClieOS, the X3 coaxial output needs a 3.5mm Coaxial S/PDIF (adapted included) but the included adapter is a 3.5mm mono-to-RCA female adapter for S/PDIF connection, would the signal output still be digital if the adapter is a 3.5mm mono to RCA? I`m trying to order a custom cable to connect the X3 to JH3A via coaxial.

Is it correct if i order a "3.5mm TRRS to 3.5mm TRRS" , or a "3.5mm Mono to 3.5mm TRRS" ?

Digital signal will always be digital signal, regardless of what physical connection it is using. The reason coax is used on S/PDIF is because a 75ohm rated coax connection doesn't have as much signal degradation as normal cable over distance. But with a short connection (with in a feet or two), even normal cable can be used without any noticeable signal lost.

For what I know, JH3A doesn't have a conventional wiring in its TRRS for digital (the 2nd ring is the S/PDIF, IIRC), so simply getting any cable will not work. You need to wire the connection correctly. It has to be X3 -> TS -> TRRS -> JH3A (red is the signal and green is the ground).

I make this two days ago so I can have a TS to RCA-male. Basically it is Neutrik 3.5mm TS + Nexans RG179 75ohm coax cable + Cardas GRLM RCA plug.

The X3 could support playlists, right? Because if so, I'd really like to know if there's a program that I could use to make playlists. I can easily assume that Windows Media Player is the most universal, so if it does, can any1 tell me? I'd love to buy one of these and couple it with a 64 gig TF card.

I'm not sure of the ability of the x3 to use playlists (aside from the 'favourites')... but if it does your best bet for the program to manage it would be MediaMonkey (assuming you are on a Windows system)

I think I got to solve my problem, partially. I took a look at the website and it says that it can play files from a folder as specified in the TF card. So, I could probably use the folders as a sort of playlist, though using the same song in multiple playlists would waste space...

Oh yeah, I'm also on Windows.

Yes, each new feature may adds some bugs and spend time to test, so we now try to fix all the bugs and make the current firmware more stable,

some new features will be added in the future.

1, AIFF support.

2, Album cover of FLAC, WAV, APE, ALAC and other format.

All my library is AIFF, what do you mean by "in the future" for AIFF support ? Will you include Album cover for AIFF at the same time ?

Regards.

Greeting! I see mention of the sample rates 44.1, 96 and 192 khz, but no mention of 48, 88.2 nor 176 .4 khz. Can someone confirm if these sample rates are supported?

Also I see in the image of the Now Playing screens, that the song title is displayed as a file name. So then how are the ID Tags read? And did I read correctly that album art is only supported with MP3s?

X3 will support AIFF ( 16bit format only ) when it launch market in July . and the album cover may need more time .

Thanks James for the clarifications.  I think the X3 set a new benchmark for value in DAPs.  I have been recommending X3 to my friends who want the most sound for their buck.  I hope it would be widely successful and Fiio would be able to become a leader not just in value but also premier DAP products.

In this post I've linked below, a member says it's better than the imod, which is based on the 5G video. That said, it's just one person's opinion but one that I hope is true!

Of course the imod sound quality is highly dependent on your amplifier choice.
