Thank a bunch i will try that first thing in the morningThat's too bad on the Volbeat, very good band!
ok.............
Zen Stream Start over steps!
Please read this thru before starting, PLEASE all the way, lol
We are going to do a hard reset, there’s a button on the back of the unit, it’s a little pinhole, you’ll need a paperclip, Toothpick, something like that.
If possible you should do this with an ethernet cable directly connected to your modem. NO WIFI, No WIFI Extenders, a direct connection if at all possible.
When you’re ready, Power on your ZEN Stream. Press and hold the reset button, located on the back of the device, for 2 seconds,..2 SECONDS no more no less, 1, 1000, 2, 1000 let go. If you hold it too long you may have bigger issues so 2 seconds only.
Let it sit for a bit, when everything looks normal just turn the unit off, power down, in other words if you see the app appear (or ifi.local screen) power down (off)
Ok connect your Ethernet line, power line (if you disconnected it) and then power on the unit. You can open the ifs app or ifs.local, whichever is more convenient for you.
Once the app (or interface) is open and ready go to your settings, (home button and little gear icon down the bottom right on the app), browser is on the left. Open the network page, refresh your wireless settings if they are there.
Proceed with the wireless setup thru the menu, keep in mind you must hit save on each step, very important! When you do you should see a little indicator box somewhere (lol) that say changes saved unit restarting/updating.
Be sure to let each change or save completely finish! I usually take a sip of my favorite beverage each time!!!
Once that is done, power down the unit. Take it wherever you want to use it at, and set it up. Power it on, give it time, and you “Should” be good to go.
Hope this works for you as it has for many others. If not the issue may very well be the power supply.
If you notice I am not worried about firmware, hard drives, none of that. First we need to get your unit up, running, and stable.
Let me know, I'll be around somewhere...
Cheers!!
Is there a way to avoid the wifi signal all together? As it always seems to force itself on again@Knobstler This reset when you start it could take up to 5 minutes...let it sit...lol
I think you could just not enable it, but I’ve never done it! So you might be the first unless someone else chimes in!Is there a way to avoid the wifi signal all together? As it always seems to force itself on again

welcome to the deadbeat club, mine as well. misery loves company. i sent mine back last week and i am now getting the run around from TREO in Singapore after they confirmed that it is defective. i have asked to simply send me a new unit or process a prompt refund. their response is to see if they can revive it. praise Jesus., in the meantime i have considered a Lumin. yes i know its expensive, but music is my number 1 and i have more money than time. oh $400 only a flesh wound. i will let my bank sort them out.i recieved it today and it sounds great when it works. there is constantly no connection to the apps. and apperantly it also really doesnt work without having also wifi enabled. im getting frustrated. whenever i something works it does for 3-4 tracks then just stops. if try to play from another app then it will show as playing but no sounds comes out of the speakers but ost likely i cant even select the streamer for most of the time![]()
i had no issues streaming Tidal from my Oppo Blu-ray Player last night. granted it did not sound as good as the ZSYou would be amazed at how many of these types of issues are solved by a very simple process. As @dsnyder there were some glitchy power supplies out there perhaps you got one, Check if it's 9v or 12, 15.... Once I know that I can tell you how to "potentially" fix your issue, keep in mind I cannot tell you how to fix the glitchy, freaky Tidal app, other than to tell you it's a work in progress, or "Get Roon", lol
Cheers!!
Of course you should have had no issues! You are comparing apples to oranges! Completely different beasts.i had no issues streaming Tidal from my Oppo Blu-ray Player last night. granted it did not sound as good as the ZS

maybe i should just order the Lumin and not wait for the refund on the IFI although this is not good fiscal sense. i hope the Lumin sounds as good?Hope you get your money back ASAP, move to the Lumin heaven for whatever miracle it might hold and leave the Zen Stream hell for all us sinner.
