thank but i dont have a device like that and i dont plan on getting one simply for quality checking ifi`s supposed great spu thats bundled in their supposed plug and play product.

Been plug N play for me since the day after it was released, because I took my time and set it up, and I read the documentation as well!

I'm not complaining about you helping me trust me its appreciated. but there are to many issues that just make it really a headache. when you just want it to work and trust me i spent the whole dayreading the manuals settings things up and so forth...

You would be amazed at how many of these types of issues are solved by a very simple process. As @dsnyder there were some glitchy power supplies out there perhaps you got one, Check if it's 9v or 12, 15.... Once I know that I can tell you how to "potentially" fix your issue, keep in mind I cannot tell you how to fix the glitchy, freaky Tidal app, other than to tell you it's a work in progress, or "Get Roon", lol

i used to have roon but i just moved away from that. tidal is sort of working ok right now. but if i switch to upnp or spotify the there is no playback it just skips the tracks or just disconnects from the device. also the wifi thing constantly asks to be reconected on my phone.
my chain is

Try clearing any play que in tidal before you shut down the app

I have found that the Que in Tidal connect is hanging on… Give it a try

that didnt fix it either but could be one problem. it just skips through my tracks on qobuz via bubl upnp after a few seconds

now the zen has gone in wifi pairing mode again. it does that constantly and i dont know why. i dont want to use wifi anyway

Just wanna share that everything is working smoothly so far. No issues. Library fromy NAS mounted in 2 sec. Dlna streaming perfect, Tidal connect perfect. And the sound.. Very open sound with ultra detailed sound stage.
Lovely device.

Inside the ifi, app or ifi.local, look under settings, system, factory restore

Should solve the restarting issue

Ok you have one of the 9V, first things first, just in case god forbid something goes wrong, there is a slim possibility that you got one of the bad 9v power supplies, so please open a ticket with iFi so they can get you sorted out with that.
