more info:

after listening for a while, if I hit "pause" and then try to resume a minute or 2 later, USB is basically dead on the iDSD.

but if I unplug my phone from the iDSD, I can resume just fine. pause signal = bad. unplug signal = no issue

I wonder what should I report, that half the time the device won't initialize properly, has to be turned off and back on, happens on both of my units, and another guy from the thread has a similar problem?

Edit: I mean - I'm far from having a reproducible use case. May relate to computer going to suspend and back. Right now I can't get it to work neither by restarting the iDSD, nor by disabling/enabling the Windows device. Was never a problem on lower tier iFi products.

That's why we invite anyone to our support platform. Our tech staff addresses any issues individually and highly likely they'll be able to help.

Unfortunately I can't answer you - I'm not on v2.0 beta but when I do install it I will let you know.

Thanks. Especially a “before and after” if you can.

As in, does “native” DSD work now with your Rendu on your current firmware? v1.60?

And then, once you upgrade to v2.0 firmware later, does “native” DSD still work for you.

Audirvana will recognise the Pro iDSD as a UPnP device handily.

You can set the signal output to different levels for home (HiFi fixed or variable) or studio (Pro fixed or variable) use. Industry standard signal output levels apply:

· Balanced output: 4.6V (+15.5dBu - HiFi) or 10V (+22dBu - Pro)
· Single-ended output: 2.3V (HiFi) or 5V (Pro)

If variable mode is selected, then the output volume can be adjusted via the volume knob on the front panel.

Hi @iFi audio

For use with powered speakers, using the variable HiFi balanced output mode of Pro iDSD:

Is that 4.6V output with the volume knob at 5 o'clock?

So at 12 o'clock it's ~2.3V output ?

Cheers
